:guilty: I am so heartbroken over a ring I lost at home somewhere. It was given to me by my son on one of our trips to Diseny a few years ago. It was the day we were leaving and we went to Cape May for breakfast. After breakfast we walked over to the gift shop and my son with his own money went back into the store after we were all done and bought me a silver ring with blue mickey head stone and 2 little crystals on each side. He gave it to me to thank me for taking them on the trip. It was the most memorable moment of any Disney vacation. I know it wasn't an expensive ring but he did it with his own money and with his own thought. The best souviner I could ever get. I want to replace it, does anyone know if they still sell those and about how much it may cost? I know I saw them in DTD and some other gift shops so they are all over Disney but i'm just not sure if they still sell them. Can anyone help me??

Crzy4mickey-

Ugh, that stinks, sorry you lost your ring. Try calling 407 363 6200. This is Disney World Merchandise (I think). If you describe the ring & where you saw it in DTD, they might be able to help you or give you the individual phone #s of the stores there so you can get another.

Good LUCK!

Jodi

You can always try WDW mail order. The info is here:

Just describe the item to them, tell them when/where you got it, and if they still have them they will try to track one down for you. BTW, I think they may still have them, or at least something similar, last time I looked at jewelry.

Jodi and Ladygracey, thank you so much! I forgot about the phone number. I used it once when we got back and ordered something my dd wanted and we forgot to go back to get it. This ring means the world to me and it is priceless. I am going to try searching my closet before i call and maybe see if I sucked it up in the vaccum cleaner! Thank you so much!

What a sweet kid.:)

The ring sounds similar to a ring a friend's daughter bought at the Boardwalk this summer. Her stone fell out and she asked if we could see about replacing it when we went at Christmas. They still had her ring (it really does sound like the same one) for $22 in December. We went to Boardwalk because that's where she had purchased hers but they also had them at the ASMu gift shop. Good luck. I hope you find either yours or you are able to get a new one.

You will most likely find your ring in the most bizarre place! Here is where I have found some of my "missing items" in my home:

1) in the laundry room
2) in the washing machine/dryer
3) when it gets cold outside, my fingers get smaller so even wiping my hands can cause my ring to slip off (been there, done that)
4) my purse -- yep . . . a finger gets smaller and you dig around in your purse to get your lipstick and it slips off.

Can you trace back every step on where you were at from the last moment you remember having it? I am certain you have, but maybe thinking about it one more time might provide that special clue that will recover your precious gift.

What a darling son to do this for you. I am sure you are heartbroken right now. Pixie dust coming your way! Keep us posted! pixiedust:

This is the same son who always gave up his seat on the bus to the elderly or moms holding kids without me even asking him to! Yes he is a sweet kid. I did just remember one thing, i changed my purse recently. I'm going to look in the old one and see! Thanks!

Hello Kitty....you are correct, it won't mean the same so I am going to tear apart my room tonight and hopefully will find it. Please send pixiedust: wishes my way! Thank you all for your suggestions and help.

Good luck finding your ring! I'll keep my fingers crossed & you in my thoughts. What a wonderful souvenier from your son! And.....even though a new ring won't have quite as much sentimental value, it's still going to mean a lot to your son someday when you tell him that the old one was lost and it's so special you wanted to replace it. Hugs!

Crzy4mickey, you poor thing! I'll say a prayer tonight that you'll find your ring and may I commend you on raising your son to be such a wonderful young man. I am so impressed that he gives up his seat for the elderly and that he spent his own money to purchase that ring for you. :goodvibes

Have you tried a quick prayer to St. Anthony to help you find it? I swear, it works every time.:)

Fairy dust and special thoughts coming your way....pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: One more place to look....in a winter coat pocket or in a pair of gloves or mittens...Good Luck!

Could it be by a sink - as in, you took it off to wash dishes or wash your hands, and you left it there? When was the last time you remember wearing it? Where were you at that time? What were you wearing? If youdon't wear it that often, where was the last place you remember seeing it? What were you doing at that time?

These are the questions I ask myself every time I lose/misplace my jewelry... I do it a lot :rolleyes1

Hope you find the ring!

Well I didn't find it last night. I still have to look in one more place at home. Yes, I prayed to St Anthony a million times! The funny thing is yesterday I was in the store and I found a dollar on the ground when I was bending down to get my water from under the carriage. There was a young guy with a baby in front of me who paid with cash so I asked him if it was his. He said he didn't think so and I knew it wasn't mine so I gave it to him and told him to put in his daughters bank. He thanked me and left. Today coming into work I dropped my keys and there on the ground was a bunch of change. I was the only one in the parking lot because I came in early. Funny I keep finding other things but not my ring! :confused3 I'm going to tear my desk apart at work today to see if I put it in there. I'm still not giving up!:sad2:

This is my sweet boy just before he bought me the ring!

Love that kid's smile! I can relate a little bit to your story crzy4mickey. I was cleaning out some stuff in the house the other day and DH asked why I wasn't tossing one of those big, souvenir pencils. I told him I couldn't because DS had spent his own money to buy it for me at Epcot on our first trip. Gotta hug those kids!

What about the lining of your purse. I just keep remembering that Sex and the City episode when Carrie lost her necklace and then found it in the lining of her purse.

I have had that happen to me before...I really hope you find it!
