We've stayed at DLRP before, once Hotel New York and once Disneyland Hotel. We've just started early lookings for next July/August, and the Disneyland is WAY overpriced:scared1: DH was interested in trying Newport Bay or Sequoia Lodge, DBIL suggested staying offsite and getting the train into Paris one day.

I like being onsite so I can send my shopping back;) but I don't like fighting for breakfast. I'm considering repurchasing shares (I sold mine after our alst visit) for the discount, but will we save enough to make it worthwhile or would we be better staying offsite and having money to spare?:confused3 We also want to visit Parc Asterix, probably staying the night before and after then driving home from there.

We are spending a week on the Vendee first, so although we don't like to cut corners equally we can't justify going all out. Any views welcome!:)

Assuming you are driving have you considered staying at DCR - you need a car to get to the parks but can have your shopping sent back there.
You collect your breakfast from a hut on site and eat it back in your cabin or can use it as a picnic later in the day.

You can have your shopping sent back to the four off-site hotels too - the Explorers, Dream Castle, Magic Circus and Kyriad all participate. If you do decide to stay off-site consider buying annual passes which give food and shopping discounts and if you get Dream ones you'll be able to benefit from EMH.

We've always stayed offsite apart from our last trip when we treated ourselves to the DLH. However much we loved it my sensible head is back on my shoulders and if there aren't any good offers at the Disney hotels next year then we'll be back off-site again.

Thanks all. The cabins are not our sort of thing, so they're already off the list. The other hotels might be an option - I was thinking of getting shares rather than APs to get the discount, which works out best value (assuming a 3-day park hopper)?:confused3

a 3-day park hopper ticket is usually the point where an annual pass cost would break even for you.

The best discounts are actually if you buy shares then buy your annual passes - as if you are a shareholder you get 15% discount on your annual pass and up to 4 others for your family.

Shares give you the highest discounts on table/buffet service restaurants in resort (15%), annual passes give you 10% on counter service, and depending on which annual pass you buy, you'll either have 15% shareholders discount on your souvenirs, or 20% discount with your annual pass (these can't be combined).

have a look at DLRPMagic for annual pass information, and a EuroDisney shareholders google will get you the full list of shareholders club perks, so you can compare the 2 and work out which one/combination is best for you.

Thanks! I had shares before and was hoping to avoid the hassle of buying them again (like if someone would recommend me...). DH has decided HNY will be our preferred bet as we really enjoyed staying there before and its not such a walk at the end of the day (or the middle if we fancy a swim).

How easy is it to buy the passes over the phone before booking the hotel? I speak reasonable French - pity they don't have a website to buy! :confused3 Do you have to send off your photo, or do they send a temporary pass you trade in?

TIA
