Okay, I am hoping you all make me feel better about this, but ultimately I want honesty.

heres the deal. I went on our honeymoon August 2003- it was hot, my first trip to WDW and frankly-I was miserable and wanted to go home. I kept telling DH the best ride was the plane going home.

FastForward to May 2004. We went back, temps were MUCH better, we stayed at a smaller resort- we had the BEST time.

So we are celebrating our anniversary at WDW in May instead of August. We wont be going in August, or celebrating at all, its just too darn hot.

Do you think its poor taste to note on ressie and PS that its our Anniversary? Its as close to celebrating our anniversary at WDW as Im gonna get.

What special things could I do to make it really feel like our anniversary? On our first trip we went to CG- I plan to do that again and I have an Illuminations Cruise booked. And the Mother's Day Brunch- which I have reservations about. Dont know where its located and if we will like all the "Boy" characters- No Buzz Lightyear :( LOL!!

I think its ok to celebrate early... I dont see anything wrong with that. I am originally from Florida, and I know August can be HOT HOT HOT! Plus, with last years hurricane season... I would do it early!

Have fun!!!

We are leaving in 9 days for our wedding, which is in 13 days!!!!
So excited!

Oh WOW!
Are you getting married AT WDW? I hope you have a great time and that everything goes smoothly for you!!!

I say an un-anniversary is a great idea if you want to do it at the home of the Mouse and it's too hot on your actual anniversary you do it!

I discovered that I liked November as the best time of year to visit - so that's when we've having a wedding - then we'll always be able to go back for our anniversaries :0)

Now I just have to come up with some ideas to make it special. I wonder if I tell the Contemporary on the ressie, if they will do anything. I have seen others recieve a signed photo of Mickey and Minnie, but they were staying concierge.

Oh! I can't wait to go!!!7 Weeks left!!

My DH and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at WDW last year. We had dinner at Victoria and Alberts at the GF and it was wonderful. They noted it on our reservation. Our menus were personalized saying Happy Anniversary and they even gave us a Happy Anniversary chocolate card. From the time we made our reservation everyone who spoke to us wished us Happy Anniversary and thanked us for spending it with them. V&A is expensive but for our first anniversary nothing would have been better. :flower:

I see no problem with celebrating your anniversary in May instead of August. You want to be able to enjoy your time at Disney and that isn't going to happen if it is too hot for you! I would do the exact same thing. Have a happy UnAnniversary!

Thanks!

Okay, good I feel better. I think Cali Grille will be our "'Victoria & Alberts" since thats how we started our honeymoon off and our trip last May we didn't make it over, so it will be special to go back.

I have never had lunch at the GF- or breakfast- maybe doing something then would be fun???
