I have a blog with some recipes. I am not sure if I can post it here. ???
YOu can PM me if you want.

I really like most of the Pampered Chef cookbooks. Two that I use all the time are "It's Good for You" and "29 minute meals". When I was doing WW, I converted all the recipes to points from the nutritional info provided and most were 5-7 points. For a home cooked dinner, that is pretty good and some of the recipes I make even healthier by substituting ingredients.

The recipes are good, easy, fast, and use normal ingredients most people have.

I find that the internet and the public library are far better resources than purchasing a single cookbook.

Just google the type of healty recipes you are looking for and then use these two calculators. One will calculate your actual recipe into calories, etc and the other will give you weight watcher points.

Visit your local library and take out the Cooking Light Magazines and any magazines from the Heart Association. You can also look through the cook books and take them out at your leisure. Most cookbooks I find that I would only cook about 25% of the actual recipes in a certain book. Make sure you have flash cards to copy recipes. This is the cheapest way to make recipe cards and you can get a plastic container at the dollar store........

I have a couple of the Weight Watchers cookbooks that have some nice recipes.

I would reccomend going to the library and taking out a whole bunch! Then find the recipes you like and photocopy them stick them in a binder!

I bought a zillion cookbooks and I like one or two recipes in each one. I am currently photocopying and geting rid of them they take up a lot of space.

If you do decide to buy, try half.com!

I love the Cooking Light "5 Ingredient 15 Minute" Cookbook. I haven't found a single bad recipe in there yet and I've had it for 3 years. I don't eat red meat and yet it has a lot of non-red meat meals in there.

I purchased The Complete Cooking Light Cookbook for a friend last Christmas. It was not the newest edition, but one from 2006, I believe. It got excellent reviews and she has really liked it. The newest one did not get good reviews. I ordered from Half.com to get it.

I bought "The New American Heart Association cookbook" a few years ago because I need to watch salt and cholesterol. All the recipes in this book (and this book is HUGE) are low fat, low cholesterol, low sodium, etc. I was a little skeptical because I kind of thought that might equate w/ NO TASTE. well, I couldn't be more wrong. This book is outstanding. it's my "go to " cookbook for anything. if there's something I want to make, I check in this book and there it is only healthy. there's a chicken w/ cornmeal dumpling recipe that my husband swears is the best he's had.
Here's the link for the book:

it's got pretty much anything you'd ever want to make. Mine has so many little bookmarks in it !!!

The "Cook yourself thin" cookbook. Lots of good recipes and DH doesn't even know that they're healthy:thumbsup2

Cookinglight.com lets you search their recipe database for free. I like it best because it also has user ratings. Just be aware that your search results will pull up in Myrecipes.com, their main database. This is fine, but if you do anymore searches from that area, it will also give you results from places like southern living, sunset, etc. You have to filter it for Cooking Light results.

Tosca Reno's Clean Eating books are FABULOUS! I've never felt better than when I'm "eating clean" - seriously!

I am just about to start the Flat Belly Diet and was looking through their cookbook last night. I am surprised by the recipes in there, some looked great so I'll definitely be doing those. I know several people whohave had great success losing weight using it so I figure its worth a try.
I also love Cooking Light's recipes. I have several of their books and get their magazine.

South Beach Diet books have some really good recipes in them too, even if you are not following their plan. They have some great breakfast recipes to be able to make ahead, then grab and go on busy mornings.

I love Cooking Light magazines!

I just got the Biggest Loser cookbook. They have some great recipes for appetizers, sides, entree and desserts! It's real food for real eaters!:woohoo:

That's what I do. I know I've saved some money doing this, because some of the cookbooks didn't have very much that appealed to our family. It was great that they were just out on loan.

I love to look up recipes on websites. One of my new favorite sites is Gina's skinny. I don't know the strand, but if you meta search it, it'll come up. It's a blog with WW recipes. I'm going to make the chocolate fluff/meringue thing soon. It's just 1 WW pt.. I don't really "do" the points, but I know low is good. :) :thumbsup2

Great suggestions on this thread. Love the website suggestions. I'm taking notes!
