Ok my daughter doesnt eat junk (hot dogs, cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, pizza etc) on a regular basis. She prefers to eat what the grown ups are eating and we dont eat those things very often. Sure the occasional one is fine but looking over the menus at disney it seems that is pretty much all that is offered. Can someone please tell me of some counter service places at disney that have some descent choices on the kids menu? I dont get why you cant get a kids sized portion of real food like a small portion of ribs at the flame tree bbq instead of their poor choices. Please help we cant live off pbj, hotdogs etc for lunch for a whole week.

Its a shame, but thats pretty much all the offer kids. One option, is to go to QS places that offer big enough adult meals that you can share with your DD. Like FlameTree BBQ has a half chicken half ribs combo (or something like that) which you chould share.
All places have fruit as sides, so thats always good too. Good luck!!!!

Honestly, the kids menu at Disney is an absolute shame. But it's what the masses want.

They tried awhile back. For awhile they had kids menus that included salads, raw vegetables, grilled chicken, pita pizza with chicken and fruit for dessert. The outcry was such that they had to give it up.

I suggest you consider not doing the dining plan, in which case your child can order whatever they wish from any menu. If you must do the dining plan, consider buffets or all you can eat family style restaurants, where the offerings are not age-specific, and some of the very few counter service restaurants that have no children's menu. If you review the restaurant menus you may also find children's choices to your child's liking; just plan to attend those restaurants.

You can't get a smaller portion of adult food because the child's dining plan is so inexpensive that they likely can't afford to offer that.

I agree with sharing your meals with her when possible.

Cosmic Rays in MK has a turkey sandwich, CHH and Pecos Bill have a salad w/ chicken, Tortuga Tavern has quesidillas and tacos

Sunshine Seasons in Epcot has a few different options, than the WS has better things as well.

The Chicken, Ribs combo is at Cosmic Rays in the MK

The above are good suggestions.
Also, Yakitori House has a kids teriaki chicken with rice

also, if you save your conter service for DTD visits, your daughter will have some more options of non burger, hotdog, nugget meals.

Oh my lord - So sorry!

HOW DARE YOU get that WRONG! ( ;) )

You'll be doing well if during your next visit to WDW Hopefully doesn't catch up with you and beat you with a wet noodle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some places at each park with different than the norm child's choices. You do have to look hard.

Flame Tree has a chicken leg and ? (mash potatoes maybe) meal
Sunshine Seasons

I usually share my CS meal with my niece. I get the 1/2 chicken meal or a pizza and we share it.

I think there is a thread/sticky with the information on kid's meals.
