Healthy Food Options

Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for healthy food options at counter service establishments at the Disney parks.

Many places have salads with grilled chicken, small containers of fruit salad, and whole pieces of fruit.

Epcot: Tangierine Cafe has delicious Moroccan food...Mediterranean food, very healthy options there and the food was delicious.

MK: Cosmic Ray's has rotisserie chicken. Columbia Harbor House has a Lighthouse Sandwich (hummus with broccoli slaw).

DHS: The Pizza Planet chicken salad was very good at the Toy Story Pizza Planet. Dressings are Ken's brand, served in packets on the side and they had light Italian which was delicious with the salad.

You will find salads at most CS establishments. Also, Sunshine Seasons in Epcot is a place that a lot of people really love (I myself have never been there though), and they don't have anything fried there at all. They seem to have some healthy options there. There is also fresh fruit at most establishments, as well as light yogurt available. If you are on the DDP, you can get either one of those as your "dessert". If not, then no need to worry about dessert!

I find Epcot has many healthy choices!

Sunshine Seasons has just tons of them. I also like Moracco and Japan.

Pinnochios (sp?) Haus has very nice salads in the MK.

Flame Tree BBQ in AK has smoked meats that are lean and not fried.

things that I like at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot are the beet and goat cheese salad and the grilled veggie cuban sandwich,

A lot of people aren't terribly fond of Pinocchio Haus in MK but the Mediterranean Salad with a light vinaigrette is a good choice for lunch on a hot day.

I get the salmon at Sunshine Seasons.

Backlot Express in DHS has a veggie sandwich.

Ditto to the sandwich mentioned above at Columbia Harbour House.

Flame tree - fruit plate and brisket salad
Sunshine Seasons - beet and goat cheese salad (yummy)
Sci Fi - beef and blue salad (yummy)
Earl of Sandwich - veggie sandwich and salads
Harbor House - anchors aweigh -tuna sandwich, lighthouse veggie sandwich and blt salad
O'Hana - yummy salad, grilled meats
And lots of fresh fruit vendors and pineapple stick at Aloha Isle. Apples and caramel.

Lots of great suggestions for eating healthy in the parks here. This even includes menu items in the newest WDW restaurants and counter service spots.
