you really need to check with your HR department. There are various levels. After a long time without health insurance I finally have some thru my employer. It has been a long time since i have had any thru an employer and i know things have changed . I have an HMO option and I have only myself insured. thru pay check deductions I am paying over 1000.00 per yr, which seem high to me. Can anyone tell me if this seems right? I know employers are paying less towards employyees healt care but they cant be paying much for me if i am still paying that much..or am i totally out of the loop?
Depending on the company you may pay more or less.
Our company has HMO/PPO and HiRisk Investor (lowest rates, but highest out of pocket)
biweekly I pay $180 for a family coverage. that is under $5K for the year with the HMO. I know for single its about $75 biweekly, so you are paying less.
