We have our health insurance through the Dh's company. They dropped our son from our health insurance even though he is still a full time college student. Are they not required to send you notifaction regarding changes? And yes, we are in the process of getting him reinstated.

I don't think they have to, because my daughter got taken off every year. We had to reinstate her every year. They said it was up to me to provide documents proving her eligility; however, the school never got these docs to us until after the cutoff date. It just became a three year ritual.

When I was in college, my mother got a letter requiring proof that I was a student almost every time I went to the doctor.

Each company is different. They can require documentation every semester to show he's still in school.

We did send them documentation via certified mail. I still thought they were required to notify you of changes.
