Health Farm/Spa - South of England - recommendations

DH and me, plus my best friend and her fella would like to go to a health club/spa for a weekend. We want somewhere that does the pampering stuff but also has cycles or nice walks and a pool you can use in the evenings as well as during the day so we dont want a Day Spa attached to a hotel.

Any suggestions for somewhere within 2-3 hrs drive of Portsmouth? My friend and I have been to Forest Mere so we'd like to go somewhere else but really aren't sure where is available.

How about Center Parcs Longleat Forest? The aqua sana there is just a couple of years old and has a whole host of steam/sauna/themed rooms along with a japanese zen garden and plunge pools. They offer a huge selection of treatments too. There is the wonderful sub-tropical swimming paradise as well.

Then there is the stunningly beautiful towering redwood scenery, sports, great dining and relaxing atmosphere. It makes for a wonderfully rejuvinating weekend

I was just about to recommend that too Frances. It's a lovely place and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful
