A heads up for those planning on using their own phone combined with AT&T gophone. That's certainly possible when getting an AT&T sim, BUT!!!! You CAN NOT use the dataplan unless you're using a cellphone sold by AT&T as part of the gophone package. Didn't get that info, even when I asked for it and had them add the dataplan.

I know some others were also planning on doing the same, so just want to give anybody considering it a heads up beforehand.

Had to call back, got told "can't use it with your own phone", wondered about being misinformed and got the $20,- for the dataplan reimbursed. So I'm without my planned daily internet (am on expensive resort internet until this afternoon, having to take care of some stuff) and with more phoneminutes left than planned for. Guess we'll be making some international calls that weren't planned for. :lmao:

I am curently in florida using an AT&T go sim in my UK Iphone using AT&T 100meg data package with no porblems

That IS interesting! I use an HTC phone, have (obviously) an AT&T gophone sim that works like a charm, but not able to access internet. Tried any and all ways possible like made, until after about 4 days and calling AT&T being told "dataplan does not work when using a phone that's not a gophone sold phone, you're using your own phone so no using the dataplan".
