Well my wife and I just reserved our second cruise and it was perfect. 4 nights on the Dream with two days at Castaway Cay. The dates were great for our kids (minimal days of school missed). Now two days later we just got an email saying that our dates have changed and it is three weeks earlier than we wanted. We picked that date because my youngest son will have just turned three and could enjoy the clubs. Now I have to wait till the 11th to call and figure things out. I guess I am mostly just venting but I am also wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Huh? WHO changed your dates??? DCL? TA? Unless the cruise is canceled, there's no reason for the cruise dates to be changed.

Why do you have to wait until the 11th to call?

We received an email for DCL stating that they are relocating the Magic and they are changing the Sunday and Thursday sailings to Monday and Friday sailings for the Dream. What was weird is that every other sailing on the email only changed by one day (from Thursday to Friday) but ours changed from Nov. 13 to Oct 23rd.

"Should you have questions about your upcoming voyage or wish to make modifications to your reservation, please feel free to contact us beginning June 11, 2013 at 1-866-858-7416." Per the email.

The email says that these are in response to moving the Magic from Miami to Port Canaveral in October 2014.

I am wondering if our sailing is affected by this as well. We are booked for Nov 9, 2014, and it isn't showing up as an available cruise. I am really interested in moving our booking to the Magic, though, so I can't wait to see the dates that are available.

There was only one 4n Dream double dip on 11/13/2014 but don't see it available now...

Dream Dry Dock???

Interesting...there's nothing showing for the Dream from the middle of Oct 2014 until the middle Nov 2014 and then they are, indeed, showing the Dream sailing on Monday and Friday. Hmm...

Magic still listed sailing out of MIA in Oct-Dec after San Juan.

Sorry for OP - seems a lot of changes going on. Wonder is still not listed past in Nov-Dec. Note that's when it's supposed to have it's major dry dock.

I guess DCL is moving out of MIA earlier than planned?

Regarding your son's age, at least for the older ones, ages are not cut in stone except for 18yrs. But, the big restriction for your son to be able to go to the club is that he must be fully potty trained. If he would be, you could request to allow him access to club even though he won't be three yet. You do have a year and a half to get him potty trained though.

So if he is potty trained would they let him in even if he is not quite three? Our first cruise was without kids so we did not use the clubs.

Your sailing has been moved to November 10th with two stops at CC. :)

My TA just emailed me that. I am waiting to see the Magic itinerary. We will probably switch for two reasons--1) We've never been on the Magic, and 2) We do want to stop in Nassau.

But for everyone looking for the DD--it can be found on November 10th now!

I should have known to come here before calling DCL! I've been watching the 11/13/14 Dream sailing as I had been planning to book it when DH and I are on the Dream in September. When I checked DCL's site this morning, it had vanished -- along with a few other dates. I just got off the phone with DCL, and at first the CM who I was speaking with had no clue what was going on. She put me on hold for a few minutes and then came back with a bunch mumbo jumbo. She said that they are "re-aligning a number of their sailings to better meet their customers needs," and that the 11/13/14 sailing is "currently unavailable." Hmm... You'd think they would have gotten all of these logistics worked out prior to releasing the dates!

I am so disappointed about this as well.It was going to be my b-day cruise.

So if he is potty trained would they let him in even if he is not quite three? Our first cruise was without kids so we did not use the clubs.

That is correct. If he is within a month or so of his 3rd birthday, AND he's potty-trained, you likely will be allowed to move him up to the Club/Lab. However, you won't be able to register him for the Club until you are onboard and visit the Club for Open House, so as back-up you might want to pre-schedule Nursery time just in case and they'll allow you to cancel it onboard without penalty.

Even if he has already 3 yrs old, if not potty trained he would need to be in the Nursery. To be in the Club kids must be completely self-sufficient with the toileting process - recognized the need to "go," undress, wipe, re-dress, wash up - all on their own without assistance.

Also, kids must be potty-trained to use the pools, no swim diapers allowed. Younger ones may use the splash areas.

Enjoy your cruise!

Is the Dream going to 5 day sailings??? Or that would still be 4 days I guess...

Got the same email this morning :(

We are booked on the 13th and we have friends going with us celebrating 3 birthdays on this cruise and now it's completely changed :(

Do you think disney will give us some perk if we change ships and dates?
