We will be heading down to Legoland on Thursday during our stay. What time do you think we should leave to miss the most traffic and be able to get there when they open up 10AM.

If you leave at 8:30, I'd think you'd be there at 10 or shortly thereafter. Just be sure to use the carpool lanes on the far left side of the freeway if you have more than one person in your car. Legoland is only worth maybe half a day and then you can go to the flower fields in season or the beach. Both are less than 5 minutes west.

we would love to be able to see the beach the same day but I have been told that with the age of my daughter we could be there easily all day long until 5 when they close, but I would like to maybe leave around 3 to head to the beach on the way back to DL.

I agree with iceprincess. We went to Legoland right after the grand opening of the park, so I'm sure things have chaged a bit. But, my nine year old at the time did everything they had to offer, and it was only a half day adventure. I'd plan to do something else as well, just in case.:tink:

It's a much, much smaller park than Disneyland. If you are used to all-day marathons at other theme parks, you will be surprised at how quickly you run through it.

If you go when it's warm, have the kids wear bathing suits underneath their clothes because there are sprinkler thingies inside the entrance that are fun for kids to run through.

well it should be in the low 70's and I am sure our daughter 3.5 will want to play in the water.

Legoland can take all day if you have a kid that loves Legos, and you want to do a lot of the rides, play some mini golf and spend time building.

I would plan a full day. Then maybe head to the beach for a bit until rush hours traffic ends and you can get back up to Anaheim.

Our son loved Legoland from age 3 to 11!!

my kids spent half the day playing in the water park at Legoland!:lmao: I think that is the most fun they had there all day!

I have to say even after reading staley's post, my son did everything. He built the robot, and rode the rides, and after lunch, well we really did not have alot to do (he did ride the cars again). Luckily, we had changed to a Doubletree Inn in the area and did not have to worry about the traffic back to Anaheim. We spent some time on the beach, and had a great sea-food dinner. Then headed back to DLR after that. :tink:
