We have been planning this trip for weeks but I hadn't booked a place yet, and once the hurricane was predicted, I held off booking.

Last night, at 10:30pm, I finally booked and committed.

Leaving in about an hour or so, through SC. It will just be me and two of my three kids.

Our 2nd Universal only trip, just a long weekend and picking up my BFF from high school. She is flying in to Orlando from Seattle. Her son has an internship at Kennedy Space Center. It is all so exciting. Then she will drive back with me and spend a few days here.

Just had to share my excitement.

Let us know how the drive down was. We're taking I95 on Sunday south from NC and have been a little worried about the detours.

And then remember to tell us all about the trip when you return.

I am here. I had to book a place last minute because I wasn't sure if I could even come through SC. We have a Windsor Hills condo for 6 nights.

Drive was FINE! I drove 77S to 26 to 95. There was a bit more traffic than usual but no closures.

Looks like crowds will be rather low this week, even over the weekend. We have APs that expire in Dec so we are trying to get the most of them. This may be our last trip this year.

I heard from friends parks are busy right now...........we were very lucky, just came home Tuesday and only real crowds we saw were at horror nights after first weekend.......
