Heading back to Princess Josie's Castle-An AKV May 22-29 PTR-TR Started 6/3!

Oh don't worry, I will! I am quite addicted as of lately, but I'm sure you all understand that. I wish I was going to be there at the same time as most of you, but I will still enjoy all the pre-planning!
I certainly understand the addiction! :rotfl: We wish you were joining us too! The more DIS meets the better. :thumbsup2

Great Adr's!!! How are you going to get to Cape May so early?? I tried for 8a but they said it would be sperate tables...:scared1: Thanks for getting the O'Hana ADR and we will see you at WCC.
I will take a bus to the park that has morning EMH and then grab a bus to Beach Club from there. If it's DHS, we'll walk. :goodvibes No worries. To be safe I'll check with Conceirge when we check in. Those guys seem to know everything about getting around. :) Yippee! I feel so official now!

I love your plans. I am getting so antsy about my ADRs. I can't wait to get them made and not have to worry about it anymore. I am still keeping my fingers crossed hoping for that AP rate :rolleyes1. I'm not sure if I will get the TiW card again or not, but I know we are going to renew our APs. I am going to try to get 'Ohana the same day y'all will be there.
Thanks Dana! Oh, it would be so cool to meet up at Ohana! I hope you can get a ressie-I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be an issue. I didn't have any trouble at all this morning. Good luck in the morning and be sure to post!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for the AP rate too. :goodvibes

Everything looks so great! It seems there are no commonalities there for us. I'll just have to be on the lookout in the parks for you!

It does feel official now, but I have already started second guessing myself. Boy am I going to drive Bryan crazy in the next 6 months.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm already wondering if I should schedule another breakfast or two...I'm ridiculous. :rotfl2:

When we get closer to vacay time we should set up a time and place if only to meet up and say hi in person. :goodvibes I'm sure we can drag Mary and probably Dana over too. :cool1:

I'm getting ready to head to work so I can get home early. I have to finish baking and getting everything packed up when we get home tonight. We're leaving at 4:30am tomorrow morning for Columbus. OH to have dinner with my family. So with that said, I may not be on for a couple of days. I just wanted to take a moment and say HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone!!! I'm thankful for each and every one of you! What a boring year this last year would have been without my new DIS friends!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU

Travel safe, eat lots of good fun and if you brave Friday- get some good deals!!

Have a safe and blessed trip. Eat lots of delicious, yummy, decadent food :goodvibes.

MAJOR BUMMER....

We just got back from the Urgent Care and Josie tested positive for swine flu. :sad1: She's in a high risk group for complications (asthma) so we have to keep a close eye on her. So that means, no trip to Columbus for dinner with my family, no Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws on Saturday. I'm glad I followed my instincts and took her in to see a doctor. She only had a 100.5 fever and a little cough-she didn't slow down at all, complain of anything, not a peep out of her about pain or anything. Just didn't want to get to Columbus and have to take her to an emergency room for an ear infection or sinus infection.

The silver lining is that we won't be exposing our relatives to the virus-especially Pop who is just finishing up his chemo. She didn't act sick at all, but my hint was when we went to pick up Lindsey at Nana and Pop's and she said "Momma, I have a cough, I better not go in and see Pop." THANK GOODNESS SHE SAID THAT. Any other time I would have drug her in there with me. I can't believe my 4 year old was smart enough to think of him and realize that she was putting him at risk. She was definitely on top of it today.

I guess we're having chicken breasts, veggies and lots of desserts tomorrow since my job was to bring the desserts to Columbus and I don't have a thing for a nice meal. There will be more Thanksgivings so we just have to get over it.

Poor little Josie. I hope she has a speedy recovery and WOW, what a smart little girl to know that she shouldn't be around Pop! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving even if it's just the 4 of you. Sometimes that's more relaxing and cozy anyway! I hope that the rest of you stay healthy! I'll be thinking of Josie and hoping she feels better soon!

Oh man, poor girl. Good for you for listening to your instincts and for Josie eing smart enough to stay away from Pop! She is on top of her game! My girls are like that too when they are sick-don't usually complain and never skow down. Cayley has been coughing but no fever. I have been a little OCD aboutt taking it. I hope you enjoy your family time and the meds get working asap.

Very smart Josie. It is great that she knew not to go around Pop, since she would have been contagious even before she showed any symptoms. I know you are worried about her because of her asthma. That is what worried me the most when Dallas had it. I will be keeping ya'll in my prayers and please keep us updated.

Awww Leanne!! I'm so sorry--I hope Josie feels better very soon! And I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving with your sweet family!! :goodvibes

Thanks so much Wendy. Joe started feeling bad yesterday so I called our doctor. He called in Tamiflu for Joe and I. Joe is feeling much better today and Josie is fever free this morning. Got my fingers crossed it stays this way.

Thanks Mary! It's so hard when they don't complain or stop running around like monkeys. We ended up having a nice Thanksgiving with just the four of us.

The doctor scared me worse than anything Wednesday night. I was already nervous and worried about the asthma/flu combo but she downright scared the H out of me. Ihave to give Josie credit she's cooperating with the breathing treatments (not her favorite thing in the world) and has taken her medicine with no fussing whatsoever. It's so much easier when they cooperate. I have to say I would have been more freaked out if I didn't know that Dallas made it through. It helps knowing a real life kid with asthma who has made it through without complications. Thanks so much for the prayers Dana!

Thanks Becky! We had a nice Thanksgiving with just the four of us. :goodvibes

Our Kroger was open so I found a small fresh turkey breast and a little ham. I threw together some sides and we had a meal. I already had pies, cookies, brownies, a pumpkin roll and a cheesecake. The kids loved the dessert buffet. :lmao: It turned out fine. It's the first year ever that I didn't have dinner with my Mom, Dad, and brother so it was a little different. We had a pretty good day overall.

I didn't go shopping this morning. Didn't want to spread the virus if I had it unknowingly. I have most of what I need already. No need in givnig this to someone else in order to save a few bucks.

Hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We will be putting the tree up today. That should be a lot of fun. On the bright side, I have a lot more time to get the house decorated now. :goodvibes

Leanne,
sorry to hear about Josie; I hope she kicks and feels better quickly! I'm glad you had a wonderful family day yesterday...and that was just the sweetest that Josie knew not to go around Pop...
Have a great day preparing the house for Christmas!!! fun :santa:

:wave2: Connie

I am glad that she is better today. Hopefully the meds will help Joe as well. Glad the dinner was fun. All those yummy deserts! You are very thoughtful for not going shopping in case you have it. I know you love black friday.
