We were at CRT two years ago and the breakfast we had was very good. I remember it being family style. This year we were given 3 choices niether of which were very good at all.

Now I know the princesses are a big part of this place but how hard is it to screw up brekfast. I at least expected better food for two table service credits.

Just a word of warning if u are thinking of CRT for breakfast.

I have been to CRT in 2006, 2008 and 2009 for breakfast. Each time there was fruit and pastries on the table. and we were given a choice of healty or regular. Healty was a yogurt with camerilized bannas. The regualar was eggs and a puffed french toast.

The CRT menu on the DIS home site, www.wdwinfo.com, is apparently current (dated January 2010) http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=120 and indicates the breakfast menu is served family style and consists of multiple items: Once Upon A Time Breakfast - A traditional breakfast consisting of pre-plated Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Cheese Danish, Fresh Fruit, Breakfast Breads, Potato Casserole, Juice and Coffee. You may select the Healthy Alternative: Muesli served with fresh fruit and yogurt.

I heard that for breakfast your choices now are french toast (non puffed) that is served with breakfast meat or spinach omelet also with breakfast meat. That's it.

CRT's not about the food, it's about the castle and the princesses. There are many better places to have a meal nearby - but no castle, and no princesses. They could serve asphalt with creosote sauce and it would sell. Heck, they could probably charge people to just come sit in the room and meet princesses - no food - and it would sell.

I would hate to think people are that naieve but you are probably right. I am taking dd there for her 14th birthday for dinner. I did not feel it was worth the 2 table credits however and am paying OOP. :goodvibes

It's not that people are naive, it's that they value the experience so much that the food is secondary. and Disney knows it.

this is sad news :( CRT was one of our favorite bfasts last April...I loved that blueberry puff thing...and now they don't have it anymore? I shoudn't have cancelled our Princess Akershuh reservation for this. :sad2:

You are correct!! That is what we were offered. The french toast was stuffed with cream cheese! Yuck! I think there was one other "healthy choice". The "omelet" was basically a quiche and was not very good at all. Again it may be about the princesses and the castle but I think they should have stuck with the old breakfast menu. It was much better.

I'm not sure why they put this menu up with a January 2010 date because it is not correct. We just got back home and actually enjoyed our CRT breakfast very much. It did begin with a nice fruit bowl and some yummy pastries. We were then given three choices (one more than last time we were there) for breakfast, a veggie omlet with breakfast potatoes, bacon and sausage, cream cheese stuffed french toast with bacon, or the healthy choice of yogart, fruit and granola.

Hubby had the omlet and the sausge was awesome. I had the french toast and it was yummy and filling. The princesses were great and we got a sword, wand and wishing stars just like the little kids.

Very true but I would rather do lunch then breakfast. We did lunch last year and very much enjoyed it! :goodvibes

OMG, not sure what to think, will wait and see what still others have to say....

Agree - I was there last Sunday, 1/31 and that was what was offered. But we thought the food was very good - we all had the stuffed French Toast. We enjoyed our b-fast here quite a bit - it was our first meal in the castle after SO many trips to WDW.

What is offered for the kids???

Kids don't get a choice - they are given a plate with a few French toast sticks, scrambled eggs - can't remember what else. My DD is 8.5 and the waiter must have seen the look and disappointment on her face when he brought the plate (really - in our case, it looked like a meal for a 2 year old - just not that much food) -- and asked her what she wanted. She wanted the stuffed French Toast that we all had -- and he very nicely brought her that as well (no charge). Great service.

CRT was ruined years ago when the characters took over. We haven't been back since. Now I hear even dinner has characters. That's too bad, this used to be such a dignified setting for a meal.

Oh my!! I just paid quite a bit of money because we really enjoyed the breakfast in May that had all of the traditional items. But, when we were there, if you wanted one of the other choices, such as potatoes with your french toast or even french toast sticks like the kids got, you could get that. Is that still the case? Could an adult still get french toast sticks and potatoes if that's what they chose? If not, that's a deal breaker for me. I looked at the menu on disney world and it's not appealing at all to me! So sad....

Lunch was actually really good. DH and I both rated our Major Domo pie up there as one of our best meals there. I think I will stick with lunch or try dinner. Breakfast is out. Next time it'll just be DD and myself since DS is now a Disney adult and really doesn't like the princess thing nor the food. DH doesn't care. I would rather not spend the money or credits on them. :rotfl:

We were at CRT for breakfast on the 27th. I have to say, I read some of the reviews and I wasn't expecting too much for what you pay. I was very happy. The food we all found was quite good. DDs both had the french toast sticks.
The princesses were Cinderella downstairs and Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine upstairs. The princesses each spent a nice amount of time with DDs, did the autographs and pictures. The wait staff was very friendly and fun to interact with.
We were not on DDP, so I'm not sure how I would feel about paying 2 credits, but paying OOP and having DDs interact with the princesses and with the photos, I thought it was great.
