If the need arises (hopefully not!), the urgent care at UCI Medical Center is very good. It is very close to DLR.

I can't express this enough. I broke my foot in 2006 and didn't get any X-rays until the next day as my then boyfriend thought it wasn't serious. Unfortunately turned out to be a hairline fracture and was in a cast for 12 weeks and with no insurance took an additional year to walk again unassisted.

Totally agree. One urgent care told my daughter a few years ago that she just "bumped" her toe and they always hurt, "just tape it." The next day I made her go to her podiatrist. No, she didn't just "bump" it, she had a spiral fracture into the foot. Then last year, they didn't think it was broke, but casted her just in case. I took her to an ortho the next morning with her xrays from that night (*I* could see the break on the xrays!) and she had surgery 3 days later as the tibia was broken in one place, and fibula was in 4 pieces. She has 2 plates and 13 pins now.

Just be cautious with it til you get a good xray.
