Headed to Disney AFTER the Cruise. Debarking Question ...

Hi there! We're headed to WDW after our sail on the Dream in January. I know we put our luggage outside of the door the evening before. Since we're headed to the parks, will those bags be automatically pulled and sent to our hotel? I thought I read a trip report where the luggage simply appeared in their room at the resort. It'd be nice to not have to retrieve it and lug it to the buses. But I can't fathom the coordination that would be needed to have it sent directly to our resort.

I'm not crazy, right? We'll have to get our luggage from the carousel and schlep it around with us, correct?

When you put your bags outside your door the last night, DCL will see to getting them off the ship for you. You must claim you bags in the terminal to take through Customs/Immigration. Then, if you're taking DCL transfers, head over to the bus area. There you will check in with a CM and tell him/her your resort, he/she will direct you to the bus that's going to your resort.

Once at the bus, hand over your bags to the driver to be placed beneath the bus for transport.

At the resort, you claim your bags from the driver and hand them off to the bell hop.

I've never read of someone's luggage going directly from ship to resort.
