Headaches and men.

Hi. Our DD's boyfriend just started a factory job today with my DH. He seems to get many headaches too. We are just a little worried that we will get one so bad that he would have to go home and could cost him his job.

What is really good and fast relief that he can take? Of course todays headache could of been stress and lack of sleep.
Does caffine help relieve one faster. eg. coke/coffee. Maybe cold water too.
I think now he takes Liquid Ibroprofen in a pill form.

Caffine is definately the trick to getting rid of headaches. Especially if he drinks a lot of it. I get a headache if I don't have caffine in the morning. I get horrible headaches. Have him keep a bottle of excedrin with him and he will be fine within 20 minutes. If he constantly has headaches maybe he should get it checked out. i would let him know he needs to work through his headaches. Its rough but most people work through them all the time. Good luck! Sometimes headaches are from be dehydrated too. Make sure he drinks a lot of water.

If his headaches are so bad that he has to go home than he needs to look into what is causing them.

I get debilitating headaches as well as migranes. Even when not a full on migrane OTC medicine rarely offers any pain relief.

If I don't have prescription meds with me OTC pain relievers with pseudoephedrine help enough that I can get to the point that I can function enough to get my prescription meds.

I had one so bad that came on so fast friday night that vomiting and a 1/2 hour nap in the Target parking lot on top of Tylenol Sinus was what it took before I could tolerate DH driving the 1/2 mile home.

Mine can be triggered by food allergies (MSG is a huge one) and smells like cologne or purfume.

Well so far he is still at work, we will find out in an hour if he had any today. They seem to happen alot more frequent when he has a job in a factory. Could be the heat or even the smell that triggers them too. At least he will have a couple of days to rest up, doesn't have to back in untill Friday morning for three days of 12 hour shifts.
