HEA viewing from the Poly..

How does it compare to Wishes?

Just wondering if the Poly beach is still a viable option for viewing the MK fireworks? We always enjoyed Wishes from here in the past.

I have seen reports that it is still good

I have not watched it from there but did watch it from the TTC ferry dock and it was great. You can see some of the high fireworks better than in the parks. Obviously harder to see detail of projections but still an enjoyable show

I think it's still a perfectly valid place to watch, in my humble opinion. While of course you miss the projection part from there, it's still a GREAT fireworks show... frankly better than Wishes (I'm struggling to come to terms with that myself).

You have to be a bit careful where you stand on the Poly beach. Sound is notoriously too low in my experience, you could easily be too far out on the beach and not be able to hear at all. Try to stay more towards the path and over near the Hawaii longhouse for better sound. But don't expect it to be super loud anywhere around the beach area though.

Other than that, I love watching from the Poly, it's a great viewing angle.

It won't be nearly as good for hea vs wishes.

HEA is a heavy projection filled show that you'll miss. Still a ton of fireworks that you'll be able to see, but you'll only see half the show

We watched HEA from a fantastic seat in Ohana on our last trip. I don't recommend watching from there if it's your first viewing of HEA, but if you've seen it before, it's still a lovely view. As pp's have said, it's difficult to see the projection from across the lagoon, and that's an integral part of the story with the show.
