HEA Dessert Party on DAH Night Strategy

Hey folks...first time thread poster...long time lurker...

So my family of four is attending DAH at MK on Thursday, April 11th...the DAH is 10pm - 1am. I have the dessert party booked on the previous night with the intention, originally, to attend EMH...but since we have DAH on the 11th no need to really do EMH...or if we do we will just do it long enough for the crowds to disperse.

My question is...should I just change the dessert party to the night of the 11th? HEA is at 9:15pm that night. I'm considering it only because we plan on going to one of the water parks on the 10th and maybe doing a different party/show at one of the other parks to maximize our parks.

What do you think? I just want to make sure I don't impact/minimize our DAH time on the 11th.

For what it's worth we are at Disney for 7 nights and plan on going to MK a couple of the other days as well...the 11th will be our final night...

Given the details of your trip you mention...multiple MK days, the time of DAH that night, etc, I think moving your dessert party to your DAH night makes sense to me. Viewing HEA with the relatively stress-free and less crowded experience of the dessert party, then moving on to DAH time at 10pm seems like a pleasant way to spend an evening.

If you didn’t have other MK days and were trying to utilize your pre-DAH MK time on rides/park time, I would feel differently.

We decided to do DAH and changed our desert party to the same night. I went with the after party--arrive in time to watch fireworks, then enjoy treats for a bit until the park closes at 10. Maybe I should switch it to the deserts before option, but trying to decide is causing me too much stress!

I decided to change it but keeping with the before party...don't want the kiddies to get all full on those desserts and then try to go and ride a ton of rides...besides want to make sure we get our money's worth in free popcorn and Mickey Bars...LOL...
