Our family has been going to WDW every year for the past 6 years. It started with DD first trip for her 5th birthday. We were hooked from the start. Then after our trip last June DH says he thinks we should do something different for our vacation this year. :scared1: So I try to tell my children that a new vacation will be fun. DH wants a trip to the beach. We do this each year as well but I guess twice a year to the beach is fine. Twice a year to WDW would be better but okay. Then last week as I am cooking supper my husband comes into the kitchen as says he has something to tell me but he doesn't want me to go "overboard". His word!:confused3 Me? Overboard? Never in my life have I done that. ;) So I'm thinking he's getting transfered, having an affair, something bad. He won't get to the point and I'm worried. Finally he says, " I just don't think going to the beach again will be as much fun for the children." He's looking at his feet and not at me, with a sly grin on his face. " You want to go back to Disney World and you can't say it!" I said. ;) He just looked up at me smiling and told me to make the reservations but don't go "overboard" :rotfl2: Let the planning begin!!

congrads
mine said the same thing,
since we got the code and a long time to pay it off
Poly here we come!

:cheer2: That is so funny!

I have often shared on these boards that our first trip was about 5 years ago. It was our "ONCE IN A LIFETIME" trip. DH did not want to go and wasn't supposed to go--it was supposed to be just me and my girls and my mother and brother. As the planning progressed and the excitement built DH finally decided that really he better go to help "carry the backpack" and "read the maps". But he was just going to be helpful and thought Disney was way overpriced and silly and just not worth it.

By day 2 of this "once in a lifetime, never going back again" trip he was saying things like "The next time we come we should do this", "Next time maybe we could try that", "The transportation here is great, when we come next time we won't need to drive" etc... I just kept my mouth shut and inside I was :yay: :cool1: .

Next time ended up being about a year later for Christmas season trip. Then the next "next time" was when he got an email with a PIN code and forwarded it to my email box with the note of "this is too good of an offer to pass up, go ahead and book this."

I have lost count but I think this trip in a few weeks is our 5th or 6th next time! And we are doing a Disney cruise that he is NOT looking forward to. I am holding out hope for the "next time" on that one!

I am waiting for the morning I wake up & DH says... "Let's go again!". I'm not holding my breath for this year though. He loves it, but we've just gone 2 yrs. in a row and he wants to do something else. But I won't stop dropping hints anyway!

We have an update.......
Just made ressies at PORS (love that place!) for May 29-June5. Love to run into some DIS friends!!

Speaking as a DH myself, my DW never has to convince me to go to WDW. We have such a great time on our yearly family vacations. Only 30 days until we leave but who's counting

This is so funny my DH did practically the same thing. :lmao: He had me make up 4 different vacation idea's with itineraries to choose from. Last Saturday when he looked at them he said boy they all look like fun I can't pick. I said ok then what 2 are in the lead. DH "I'm leaning toward Disney because we've never done all 4 parks in 1 visit before." I'm bitting my lip because he was the one who didn't want to do all 4 parks in 1 visit! :scared1: Go figure. So I'm planning our trip as well. :cheer2:

One thing you could do to make him happy too is to schedule a day or two at the beach. It's really not that far from Disney. :)

Hi WDWDAISY - loved your story and had to read it to my DH. Never thought he'd be excited to be going, but he's getting there!
