My DS is primarily tube fed and can't eat so going to restaurants or even stopping for the rest of us to eat isn't fun for him. His request for his wish trip is to go to a character meal each day. It doesn't matter whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner, but one night he wants to go to Hoop Dee Doo and he loved Crystal Palace, so he wants to go back there. I need help coming up with ideas for the rest of the trip. We will have park hopper tickets, if that makes a difference.

We will need approximately 6-7 days of character meals. Which are your favorite, in order, and for which meal?

Thanks!

We like Ohana breakfast, Garden Grill dinner, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Hoop de Doo. We also have a few princess favs that I am sure you aren't interested in with a ds.

I'd say Cape May breakfast, Tusker House breakfast, Ohana breakfast, Garden Grill dinner, CP any meal and maybe even 1900 PF for breakfast or dinner depending on if you think he would like the characters. But no matter what you decide, I hope that his Wish trip is truly magical!

Crystal Palace any meal
Ohana's Breakfast
Tusker House Breakfast
Chef Mickey's Breakfast
Garden Grill Dinner
Cape May Cafe Breakfast
1900 Park Fare

Hope you have a magical trip

Ohana breakfast, Garden Grill dinner, 1900 PF dinner. Those are our favorites, but I've heard really great things about Tusket House and that is on our to do list next time.

Loved 1900 Park Fair for breakfast when I went with my family when I was younger, always got to get a pic with every character :) I haven't been back to a Character meal since I went to Crystal Palace a number of years ago and had an allergic reaction and was whisked away before I saw any characters.

We have not been to them all (we're trying a couple of new ones on our upcoming trip), but our favs so far have been Tusker House and Ohana. While we did not like the food at Chef Mickey's, we did like the atmosphere and character interaction.

Ohana's is a fantastic breakfast with Stitch (Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, who have I forgotten? )

Tusker House is great too, Cape Mays is one of our favourites and 1900 Park Fare breakfast and dinner. Even the dinner which is a bit girly (as my DS says) is actually fun as the step sisters are an absolute hoot :rotfl:

Crystal Palace breakfast
Tusker House breakfast
'Ohana breakfast
Akershus dinner (your DS might not want to see princesses)
Garden Grill dinner
Hollywood & Vine breakfast (but your DS might be too old for that one)
Chef Mickey's dinner

We love character meals!

1. 1900 Park Fare breakfast - food is decent and character interaction is the BEST!

2. Tusker House breakfast - awesome food and fun characters...they do a parade with the kids.

3. Chef Mickeys...fab 5 characters with fun atmosphere. Not a fan of the food here, but that won't matter to your son. He will love the characters.

4. CRT...don't know if your son is into princesses at all but they tend to fawn all over the little boys so he might really enjoy it.

5. Ohana breakfast....yummy food and fun character interactions with parade and music.

I was just wondering if it would be easier for you to have character meals where the food is served family style... those would be Ohana breakfast and Garden Grill dinner. Akershus is semi-buffet (you get your cold stuff from the buffet, they bring you the hot stuff). With three little ones, it might be easier to sit at your table and have the food brought to you. Maybe Mickey's BBQ at Fort Wilderness, too. Oh, Cinderella's Royal Table as well, but of the princess meals I'd go to Akershush.

what about the Hollywood & Vine at DHS with the Playhouse Disney caracters? We are doing that and the Garden Grill at EP this trip. Did Chef Mickey & Crystal Palace last year. Love HDD but not this time

We loved Cape May Cafe's breakfast. Great selection of foods for those that can eat them, great service, and excellent character interaction. Plus Minnie, Goofy, and Donald are all there wearing beach themed outfits, so it makes for some unique photo ops.

Does your son like Playhouse Disney? At 5, my daughter still liked the characters a lot and enjoyed the H&V breakfast a LOT!

Thank you all so much for the suggestions! We were inappropriately discounting the princess meals, since he is a boy, but I think I may add one now - probably 1900 Park Fare. I just hope we'll be able to get ADRs once we figure out the dates for his trip!

Our favorite is definitely Crystal Palace breakfast. We also like Akershus, but that is a princess meal.

The character interaction we got at 1900PF was impressive. The Mad Hatter sat down at our table with us and talked with DH about running the marathon (DH was wearing the shirt). I love the interaction with face characters so much more than the body language and gesturing of the masked ones.

We have had wonderful character interaction at Garden Grill, that would be my number 1 (and we enjoyed the food, especially the salad). Then Crystal Palace.

Have a magical trip!
