I brought up the Disney Land/Cruise Honeymoon to my DFI, and showed him all the details, I couldnt belive it, he said that was great!! Now how long in advance should we make the reservations? I wanna do the 4 day land and the 3 day at sea, Ive never been on a cruise before, and I want a little more time at the parks. I also saw the romance package that can be added on to the cruise and want to do that, have any of you done that? Im just so excited, I know I cant have my Disney wedding, but I get my Disney Honey Moon

Congratulations on your land/sea disneymoon!! My fiance and I can't have a Disney wedding either, but are also going on a land/sea disneymoon, only we actually booked the two sections separately. I guess it depends on where you want to stay. We aren't getting married until next July, and already have our cruise booked, and are just waiting to be able to book our villa. Where are you guys going to stay and when are you going?? Once again congratulations!!

we just returned from our land and sea disneymoon. we did 4 days on land and 3 at sea. staying at POR and in a category 11 room. not having a porthole really wasn't that bad especially since the only times we were really in the room were to sleep or nap. we had a great time at WDW, even though i was a little disappointed with the bus service for POR... bus service for the all star resorts is much better in my opinion. we were a bit disappointed in the cruise. it all started the first night at dinner when we were sat with 2 other families with children!! when i tell you that there were at least 20 other honeymoon couples on the boat, i am not kidding. on top of the seating issue, our servers were AWFUL!!! our water glasses were only refilled when we asked. i ended up talking to the manager right after we were sat, but there was nothing he could do to move us for that night. i was told to check with him the next night, and we ended up having our OWN table for the last 2 nights on the cruise. It wasn't that we didn't want to sit with anyone, but we just didn't feel like we should have to sit with children on our honeymoon. since that was the first night, it kind of put a damper on the cruise experience. i also was not pleased with the availability of food at certain times... as i am aware that many other cruise ships had 24 hour buffets. we were in the late seating and were hungry around 530 or so, but the only thing available was stuff from the grill (all fried) or room service.

as for the romance package, i would read the disney cruise line forum (or search it) because there have been a few threads about whether it is worth it or not, or whether you should book seperately.

Book the cruise ASAP. Prices will only go up, and the deposit is refundable until something like 45 or 60 days prior to sailing.

If you book the land & sea as a package then you can't add just the REAS package, you have to add the complete romance package for both the land & sea portions.

We're doing our own land & sea combo - 4 nights on the ship and a week at the parks.

Thanks and great to know! I am just going over how much everything will cost right now, We are going to get married in August of 2006 so I think either end of August or the first cruise in Sept. I looked at the romance package on the cruise board, and I think Im still for that. Im really sorry to hear about your poor dining experience Hotveggy. Im gonna have to book everything really soon. With all of the bills I have to pay at the moment its gonna have to wait a little bit more, I know Ill probably miss out on the price we were qouted right now. Im just so excited, it seems so far away but so close at the same time!
