My nephew passed his retake of the Social Studies portion of his GED. This was the final step that he needed to complete for entrance into the Army. He meets with the recruiter tomorrow to find out what date he leaves for Basic. Of course, I will now be worried sick about him once he finishes all of his training. But, this is actually the best thing for him. He has been in and out of trouble quite a bit the last couple of years. His relationship with his parents is almost nonexistent at this point. I am so proud of him.
