He measures 45 inches here!

is currently 40" without shoes. I'm hoping she grows a few more inches by June, because she REALLY wants to ride Dinosaur.

I am pretty sure that you only have to be 40" for Dinosaur, my son rode it last year.

My 3 year old is 38 inches tall. When I measured her the other day she said "Two more inches for Splash Mountain...yes!" :rotfl2:

You *might* have problems with Space Mountain. When we were in line this past October, there was a little girl in front of us who made it for the first time. She was measured and Ok'd outside twice, once by the FP entrance and again by the actual entrance. Then she was measured and Ok'd where the Fast passes were collected. Well she get to the head of the line and they measure her again and this CM said she didn't make it. They measured her 3 times before and she was clearly tall enough but then all the sudden she didn't make it at the final one. The dad was so upset, the little girl was crying, it was ridiculous.
If a child is just barely at, or really close, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the sake of the Cast Members, Do not argue with the CM's, and PLEASE explain to your child 10 times that although you THINK that the child can ride (insert ride name) that the child still may not be able to ride.
So after the child passes the first three hieght checks and passess all of them make sure you tell them that they still may not be tall enough to ride???

I really do wish WDW went with Wristbands....

I would hardly call breaking a rule that is in place for your safety "smart."
I know...Sometimes I break the speed limit too. I am totally playing with fire... :rotfl:

I sincerely hope that your children don't grow up to have the same attitude as you.

The OP may have heard from other parents that Disney keeps its height sticks a little high but did the OP consider that maybe the parents were angry because the child didn't make the mark and therefore said it was on the "high side"?

Believe me, as a CM who has measured countless children over the years those height limits are there for the youngster's safety and nothing more. It's very disturbing to me as a CM when I see parents return to the height stick five minutes after the youngster failed the measurement and suddenly the youngster passes with room to spare! What are they thinking?

My experience has been most often the parents are more upset than the youngster that he/she can't ride at that time. The youngsters that do get upset most likely have had the ride so hyped up to them it leads to a meltdown and you can't blame them.

Parents: For the safety and comfort of those around you please follow the safety rules put in place by Disney. Many thanks.

Can't say I ever falsafied my childs height to get on a ride. The height restrictions are there for a reason. A few years back my petite 6 year old - then just under 3 - met the height requirements for big thunder mountain. At the first dip, her little body went up - then down, sliding under the lap bar nearly smacking her chin (hard) on the bar. We've held on tight ever since. With regard to space mountain - It may be a good thing the little ones are seated individually - so the lap bar fits them - not the parent - and I speak for myself here - who is just abit thicker in the waist. My DD went on Space Mountain for the first time in August, with me leaning foward holding her shoulders the entire ride. She's now a junkie. Learned on the return trip in Oct that you can wait for the front car.

as far a Stitch the ride goes .... skip it.

You will be fine!!

In September 2004 our then 4 year old was 41 inches, and was able to ride
Big thunder, Splash Mountain (although I still felt the need to hold on to her on this one) , Test Track. At Universal she did Spiderman and back to the future. All of these rides are 40 inches.

Good Luck
