Right now it is 9:30 pm and DH is out side in the tent taking the 4 and 5 year olds in the back yard for a sleep over. We roasted marshmellows on the fire (had on going in the fire pit) and brought out some sparklers. The 4 year old did not want to hold the short stick of the sparkler so out came the vise grips and off she went with the longer handled sparkler. He is now reading the Dr Suess Sleep Book to them. Me you ask? I am in the A/C house with nice new sheets on the bed. ;)

That's great, making memories for everyone.

Very sweet. Of course my idea of roughing it is staying at the Four Seasons :D . I hope that I can find a husband someday who can "camp" with our little ones while Mom stays inside

Yes, he is a great dad. Enjoy your time in the house! Be prepared for them to be up when the sun comes up though. I am speaking from past experience! :D

God bless great dads, and the moms and kids who appreciate them. :)

My DH took our 5 yr old camping on the 4th, I kept the 3 yr old at home. Next year he will be taking both. I had to stay home to prepare for the picnic the next day;)

It is wonderful when they make those memories with our children. I would have never thought to add the vice grips.
