My daughter is 2 and does not sit for long periods of time during dinner, but I was thinking that the show might keep her interest.

Anyone else ever done this with a small child?

yes, i took my godson when he was 2 and he loved it. not that he understood everything going on, but he clapped to the singing and the dancing.

Can she sit through at least half a movie yet? by this time i think that he was able to sit through most of a movie.

I am sure she will love it too! :thumbsup2

Have fun! :wizard:

we are doing this again when we go at the end of September.

Not sure I am going to be much help. BUT, we did do this show with our two year old a week before her third birthday. We were seated at a table right against the front of the stage. So, with front row seats, there was no losing interest. BUT, she has always been very good in restaurants, so I am not sure that helps. My second child is a handful, but I do think that the show is so loud that it would compensate for any problems we would have with him. I say go, and enjoy.... after all it is still free for her! (that is why we did it before she turned 3, we did the luau too, but we had seats further back, and she fell asleep!)

I did it when my now 6 year old was 2......she LOVED it :thumbsup2 She obviously didn't understand what was going on but she loved the music and laughed when everyone else laughed etc. I'm doing it again this trip with my 10, 6, 3, and at the time 9 month old.......

This was my worst fear on our trip last summer. I had a friends 4 yr old with us. We discovered on a cruise that he will not sit still for dinner. But I had prepaid for HHR for my son's 20th birthday. So we decided to go and if he was too bad I would leave with him and let my two boys enjoy the show. Well he sure fooled us. He was a little restless at first but when the singing got good he was clapping along and having a good ole time. Didn't eat anything but had fun.

I've been there with 3 yo, 2 yo, 6mo, big kids, littlekids, solo kids, bunches of kids but never with no kids......and they all loved it. Have fun! let them participate (swing thier napkins in the air and Yee-haw) they will have a blast and so will you.

My best HDDR hint....get there early and in front there is a great playground, and a petting zoo around the corner, let your little one blow off some steam and play, it often makes a difference in thier ability to stay in thier seats.

We went when my littlest guy was 1, and we were really worried about him going nuclear--- :rolleyes1 HE had a great time. :thumbsup2 Definately enough to occupy a little one--just bring crayons in case and fork over the spoons! :teeth:

My dd turned two on our trip and we took her to HDDR. She is normally a hyper child who is distracted easily. We got stuck going to the last show because we booked too late. She absolultely loved it. The waitress was very nice and made it a point to talk to her every time she came around and the singing and laughing kept her attention. We are doing it again this year with an almost 1yo so we'll see how that goes. The little ones won't get alot of the jokes but they love the singing and entertaining.
