Because category 2 is both on the floor and on the balcony, does anyone know which tables are the ones that are assigned first?

I know that tables are assigned based on when you made your ressie, with the best tables being assigned first., but now I’ve been reading that the cat 2 middle balcony offers better views and a better experience than the cat 2 seats on the floor. I made our ressie on the day that our reservation window opened, so I'm wondering if we’ll be put on the back floor where the viewing may potentially not be as great as the balcony. For those who booked on the first day, what seats were you assigned (back floor, side floor, or balcony)?

Seating Order, based upon ressie date/time:

1) Cat-1:
. . . center to left/right equally, stage toward rear
2) Cat-2:
. . . center toward left/right equally, on floor
. . . center toward left/right equally, on balcony
3) Cat-3:
. . . rear to front, left/right equally, on balcony

NOTE: Some assignment changes may be made, based upon table size,
eg. the need for a table of eight versus two tables of four.

EDIT: Table numbering,
. . . EXAMPLE: table #052
. . . 0 = floor-level
. . . 5 = fifth-row-from-front
. . . 2 = second-table-from-left

:) I always make ADRs far out so last Dec we did HDDR for the first time and loved it. I am a Planner and was mortified when the boat from MK to FW/HDDR was late. We were second to the last people seated and the man was out front trying to find us, then escorted us to the table. He was very nice. I even planned an hour travel time from the dock--still was late. There is enough to see around FW to get there a bit early. We had Cat 2 seating and were under the balcony which was fine. The characters interact well with the guests and come out onto the floor several times. I do not think there is a bad seat in the house really. My MIL (DH didn't want to go :confused3) and I were fine with these seats but if you want to participate more you need Cat 1 seating. It can be pretty dark under that balcony and the lights are low during the show...or at least that is what I remember. Food is really good too.

We will be there at 7:15 on 11/3.

Our first time eating at HDDR we booked the moment the lines opened up at I think it was around 185 days out (using our 180+10 benefit) so we very well may have been the very first category 2 table booked. We sat at the closest table to the stage of the ones under the balcony on the side. The diagrams I see of HDDR don't even show these tables on the sides under the balcony but we were sat there as category 2. I believe the show was sold out so I doubt we were bumped up to category 1. Here's our view.

I dont remember when we booked but we sat on the floor in at the very last table in the back corner and we could see everything just fine. I dont think that the seats are bad anywhere because it is not to big of a place.

For our trip in Sept 2010, I made our HDDR ADR 185 days out - we were arriving on a Saturday (180 days) and our HDDR ADR was for Thursday. I made them at 7 am sharp. We also were seated where the pp was seated: in the front, under the balcony, in the main floor. There was a two-top closer to the stage, and then the piano. While it was not the best view (it's a side view and Cat 1 was definitely better), we could see and hear fine. I'm pretty sure they assign the main floor seats before the balcony.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like we'll be on the floor rather than up top. We really just wanted to be sure to have a good view and at least up top would have been unobstructed. But it sounds like we shouldn't have any problems watching the show either way. Really looking forward to it. :goodvibes
