How far in advance do you need to make PS for HDDR? I've heard that you can make them up to 2 years in advance. Is it necessary to make PS that far in advance? We are thinking of doing HDDR for our Dec. 2005 trip.

Also, by 2005, our kids will be 4 and 6. Is this a good age for the show?

Thanks!

If you are sure about your traveling dates, make the PS's as soon as possible. That way you will get good seats!! Seating is assigned in the order the ressies are received. We reserved at 165 days out and were seated two rows back and in the middle of the stage. GREAT SEATS!!!

Your children will be at a perfect age to enjoy the show. If they are "picky" eaters there is an alternative meal available. The regular menu has chicken, BBQ ribs, corn, baked beans and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The food was great!! It is served family style in buckets, and it is all you can eat.

The show is corny and tons of fun. There is quite a bit of audience participation. Our DGD was only 2 1/2 and she had a ball. She still talks about playing the washboard!!

I am sure you will have a great time. Book ASAP!!!

EmmasGrammy, thanks so much for your help! We are in the process of figuring out our travel dates and will make PS as soon as our dates are definite. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Thanks again!

My kids enjoyed the show when they were 5 and 3. It was a highlight of our trip especially for my 3 YO because we were there on his B-day and one of the CMs came over to him and he got to talk into the microphone. We went again last August (kids were 8,6 and 1) and they enjoyed it just as much. We just made our reservtions for this June and they are looking forward to it again.

I always go with a big group and we always get seated in the same area (to the right of the stage about 20 ft back). These are great seats. I think it is one of the few areas that can accomodate a large group. We'll be 14 strong in June so I wouldn't be surprised to get the same table again. But this is the exception. My brother made his reservations late for his family of 4 in February and they were upstairs in the balcony. They thought the seats were good and they loved the show as well. But IMHO it is better to be downstairs where you are part of the action. So I echo the advice given. I'd book it as soon as your dates are finalized.

Have Fun!

Mike

We plan on doing HDDR on 6/25, the 5:00 show - I made my reservations for this on 2/14. Can I find out where we'll be sitting ahead of time? Do you think making the reservations 4 months in advance was soon enough?

Who would I contact to find out where we're seated? Would I just give my confirmation #?

Sorry - but am I right in thinking that we can pick up our tickets upon arrival at our hotel (ASMo) - we'll be there 3 days before our reservations are for.

Thanks - and sorry for sooo many questions.

Just booked yesterday for HDDR on 6/11. CM said she could not say where our seats would be but that it wasn't that booked yet (hoping for main floor). She said seats are assigned when you pick up the tics but I have read conflicting info on these boards. You can pick up your tickets up to 7 days in advance at your hotel.

I have heard the same conflicts of when they assign seats - when you make the reservations vs. when you pick up the tix.

It seems like it would make logical sense to make the assignments when you make the reservation. What would be the point of calling way ahead of time - if everyone who picks them up within the 7 day timeframe gets the same shot at a good seat?

I made reservations today for the June 5, 7:15 show. I was really surprised that I was able to get a table at 90 days. I assumed it booked up quick since they allow you two years to make ressies. I won't mind being in the balcony. My boys will hide under the table if someone comes at them with a microphone. :D

Does anyone know what kind of discounts are available for the show?

Hi Lori,
The only discounts that I am aware of are for the 9:00 pm show. I believe there is an AMEX and AP discount.
