We will be taking an 8 yo and 5 yo in November. Should we do the Hoop Dee Do or Backyard Bar B Que???? TIA!

Depends on what you think your kids would be most interested in. The BBQ has character meet and greets, which HDD doesn't. HDD is more slapstick comedy and entertainment, although there is some of this at the BBQ. The food is good either place and comes from the same kitchen. HDD is table service, while BBQ is buffet style. Philosophy is the same - all you can eat and drink. Last year at the BBQ there was, in addition to Goofy, Chip and Dale, Minnie and Mickey, line dancing instruction, a trick rope performer, some comedy sketches. It was a hoot and we had a great time. If your kids really want to meet characters, I would say BBQ. If they aren't into that, probably go with HDD.

:D

Thanks ftwildernessguy! I think mine would enjoy the characters so well go with that. I think I read on another post that you (and your group) will be at WDW at the first part of November...maybe we'll see you at the campground if we get a camper by then. That's my goal but if we don't get one by then, we'll be at the ASMO! Have fun!

we love love love the HDDR! Its a must do! When we skip it we always regret it.

Is there somewhere I can get details on this? cost, time, what is served? Do I need a ps for this?
