Help! I am trying to figure out what to do. The only night it makes sense for us to do HDDR is the night we have a Crystal Palace dinner ADR and were going to stick around for the E EMH at MK and stay out late for our 'last night' there (although we are also going our first night for Spectro/Wishes). I'm also hanging on to hope that Ohana, Chef Mickey or Cali Grill will open up to possibly do instead of CP.
It is the first trip for my kids, DD9 and DS7 and we are staying 7 nights (I know, we should have plenty of time to fit it all in but I don't want to give up a different night at this point!). DH is not going with us, so it's just me and the kids.
I wasn't even thinking of HDDR because to be honest, it just didn't appeal to me that much. I keep hearing about the 'slapstick' but wondered if my kids would be old enough to understand (especially DS7 who is behind for his age in verbal understanding). Plus, this is our first trip and there just seemed to be so many other things to do first. But I've seen all the reviews and everyone seems to love it. So now I'm wondering if this should be a priority for us.
I did look a few youtube videos and it looks OK but I'm sure it's much different when you're there in person. As for the food, it looks OK and I'm sure we'd enjoy it (and I have to admit I'll enjoy the booze after spending 7 nights as a single parent at WDW!).
I'll be on DxDP so the price/credits is no problem. There is availability at all the shows, so I could do the 5:00 and still get to the MK for EEMH afterwards (but that will cancel out my late lunch at Coral Reef that I had planned as well!). Or we could do the 7:15 show and get to the MK but miss Wishes. Either way, we'll definitely miss our CP dinner (or Ohana/Cali Grill/CM if a spot opened up)!
