Can anyone tell me how bad or good catagory 3 is???:confused3

I am concerned that my DD6 princess: will not be able to see anything...very disappointed. DD6 was very excited to see this show.:guilty:

Any advice???

There are several people that feel Cat. 3 has the best seating because Cat. 1 is sometimes too close, and Cat. 2 usually has several tables in front of it. Cat. 3 seats are upstairs against the railing so you have a panoramic view of the whole show. We just booked HDDR and specifically asked for Cat. 3.

I called back 3 times and was told NO availablity not even Catagory 3!!! So I called back one last time and got a wonderful CM:flower3: who recommended we reserve the 9:30pm show (on the day I wanted) with Catagory 1 seating (DlxDDP). She also recommended since we are in Animal Kingdom that day that we could do a late lunch at Yak & Yeti so that we would not be STARVING!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

This is what we ended up with for that day...

Donald's Safar Breakfast at 8:35am
Yak & Yeti at 2:30pm
Hoop De Doo Review at 9:30 catagory 1

However, she did say that I can check back to see if any of the earlier times open up. Which I have to do anyway because I was not able to get CRT for breakfast on 8/29 or any other day during our stay!!!! I reserved the following for THAT day...

A Fairytale Lunch @ CRT at 2:30pm
Princess Storybook @ Akershus at 6:35pm

I really wanted breakfast at CRT (I am totally a breakfast person!!!) that day, but I am willing to check back.

We have Cat. 3 seats for a date in Sept. and I was worried about the same thing...my 3 yr. old(turning 4 that week) not being able to see the show. I have the Dlx. DDP and wondered if I was stuck in Cat. 3 b/c of that so they would have the more expensive seats available for people paying OOP. I posted on another board about the seats and so far the reviews were that you can see everything fine so hopefully it won't be as bad as we both think... who knows! :confused3

Even with the DlxDDP we can only get Catagory 2 and 3 for the dinner shows. We can get Catagory 1 for the 9:30 show {{Bummer}}.

I think my DD6 (will be 7 in October) can handle the lateness...she may not eat much though which is why I am doing the late lunch and will get snacks too!!! Would never chance it with a 3/4 year old though.

I was told to keep calling back because some people cancel/change their ressies. I have to do that for CRT as well (wanted breakfast, got lunch instead).

Cat 3 is really not bad at all. As a pp said you will be along the balcony, with an unobstructed view of the stage. Sometimes Cat 2 seat are in the middle of the room and you have too look over people's heads to see.
Like the pp we ask for cat 3, it is just less cramped and a has a great view.

My family of four, DD3 and DS6 at the time sat in Cat 3 upstairs on far left of stage by railing. It was a great seat for us. They could stand up and watch with no problem at all.
I think it was much better than if we had been on the floor.

I too have Cat 3 for September. We are going with DDs their Husbands and 2 DGDs. One will be 27 months the other 18. We are going to the 7:15 show. That was all that we could get. Do you think it will be to late for those grandbabies?

Thanks for all the posts, I'm not the OP, but it is my DS(5)'s 6th birthday that day, and all I was able to get was Cat3. I was a bit worried too, but now I think it will be great. To the pp, I heard the show is about 2 hours, so I'm sure if the grandbabies have a little nap, they will be ok.....have a great trip!!

CanadianMom...I think you will enjoy the 7:15 show!!! That is the show I really want. :confused3

I was actually debating changing my 9:30 catagory 1 seating to a 7:15 catagory 3. I am having a tough time with this because we sat in a catagory 1 years ago and had so much fun! I just don't want DD6 to miss out on the action. :rolleyes1 I know I am just being silly about it, but for some reason I just can't seem to help myself. :rotfl:

I'll let you all know if I change my ressie...
