HDDR booking with dining plan

If I book HDDR will I be required to put a payment on my Visa at time of booking if I am planning to use dining credits on it?
Or will it know and because I have the dining plan not do it that way?
Also:
If it does require me to use the Visa, when and where do I get my money back? and is this ever a problem?

I booked Hoop Dee Do on Monday for Dec 20 for the 6:15 show. We are on the dining plan. There are 3 categories. If I booked category 1, I had to pay upfront. Category 2 & 3, would be on the dining plan with no payment. My Visa is on the reservation encase of a no show.

I'm on the dining plan and booked my ADRs last week. I have a reservation for HDDMR at 8:30 on December 14 (Level 1) and I didn't have to pay up front. The system knew I was on the dining plan.

If you are on the Dining Plan, you may select Category 2 or 3. However, for the 8:30 show you may book Category 1 on the Dining Plan. A credit card guarantee is required for no shows even on the dining plan. You must be logged into your MDE, and select your dining plan as payment option should be recognized.

I have HDDR booked for a 6:15 show on Sept 24. I had to pay with my credit card upfront for category 2 seats. I have the DDP but had made that reservation before I set up MDE. The payment had already posted on my visa. Will I be reimbursed? The reservation is showing on MDE and shows paid. Thanks in advance!

I would call Disney Dining and tell them you have the dining plan and the charges need to be reversed. I don't think they'll do it on their own.

This happened to me with CRT. I called and they switched my reservation to my dining plan and my cc was refunded.
