I made us an ADR lastnight for HDDR March 17th for 4pm show.

Party of 7 with a 7 yr old, 2 yr old and 9 month old. (2 17 yr olds and me and DD24)

We are staying at BC, and will be at Epcot around 11, and will catch monorail to TTC, then MK, then boat.
Questions:

1. We are "late" for this ADR, I went with Cat 2, but should I go with Cat 3?

2. What time should we catch monorail to make it in time?

3. Is it truly worth all the work? :)

Well I can only answer Question #3 and yes it is well worth your time and trouble. It is fun and you will find yourself really enjoying those corny jokes and a partial answer to #1 if you can't get Category 1 seating I would go for Cat 3 but we have been there 3 times in our 5 trips.

3. Yes, it's worth the work. Honest comfort food (wish the strawberry shortcake was still made in cast iron skillets, love the crispy cake bits!) and fun show for all ages and lots of audience interaction w/ cast members in all categories.

2. Go with Disney stated advice on travel time; I'd give an hour and a half just to be on the safe side. Get there early and you'll have a nice wind down time taking in the sights of Ft. Wilderness..

1. I'd stay with Category 2 and never opt for Category 1 whether on or off the dining plan.

Cat 3 seating is on the balcony on the sides. They are long tables along the railing,so you can see the show really well.

Cat 2 seating is either the balcony,in the back (but facing stage), or on the main level behind cat 1. If you are on the main level, little kids may have problems seeing. I would switch to Cat 3. Even if you took cat 1,because of the relative last minute of the reservation, you would be towards the back of cat 1.

You’ll want to put the kids on the side of the table by the railing so they can see better, but they will have to turn around from the table to see the stage.

I would want to be at MK by 3 pm to catch boat to FW
That means on MK monorail by 2:45.
That means on Epcot monorail by 2:30.
That means leaving the park at 2:15.
That means finishing your last attraction around 2:00.

OR you can take the bus from YC to MK.
Arrive at MK by 3 pm
On Yacht club bus by 2:45
Arrive at Yact club at 2:30
Leave Epcot at 2:15

It is a great show. And worth it to get there. We’ve seen it three times (once in cat3,twice in cat 1).

However, is it possible to see the show on a non-park day? You are basically losing half a park day for the show.

Thanks so much for the help!

We are basically going to Epcot from 11-2ish, and then we will go back afterwards to catch Illuminations. We just want to see the Flower and Garden stuff and ride 1 T1 ride. Epcot isn't a fav park, so no need to be there longer. :)

I am probably bumping our Ohana for HDDR, but I will be eating it next week, and in July, so we will be okay. :)

HDDR is definitely worth it!
I've done both Cat 1 and Cat 3. With a larger group, I'd go with Cat 3. Also, the 2 year old will have more room to move up in the balcony.
