Any one been to this recently. When I did a search on here all the info I read was from 2002 and 2003. Wanted to get any updated info. See if anyone has done this and is it worth our time. Boys are age 6 and seven. Thank you for your replys. :thumbsup2

What do you want to know? The info probably hasn't changed much in the past few years. I love doing both the wagon ride and campfire!

We too love the hay rides but I do wish parents would make kids put those bloomin' flashlights away! The darkness of the nights is something that makes those rides special.

The basic info on the campfire show has not changed in many many years, if you check on the camping board you will find a sticky with the movie list for the month. As for whether or not you kids would enjoy it probably depends on the movie being shown.

OK thanks for the replys, just wanted to know what your experiences with this have been. is it a fun thing. is it a must do with kids. do alot of people do this. do i have to worry about it being packed. these were my questions.

thanks :surfweb:

I am NOT feeling the love. I always answer other's questions and now i ask and nothing.:confused3

I have no insights but my DD is wanting to do the Smores/campfire/movie thing too. TGM has some good info on! It looks like fun! :thumbsup2

 The original question was answered as best we could, now that you have given some more specific questions you may need to chill a little and wait for people to get home from work.

Now for your specific questions
I love this show and so do my kids, DD14 likes it more than DS11 though(I've been doing since I was a kid myself). As for a "must do" that would be a personal choice, for us if it is a movie we want to see, we make sure we are there. It can be busy, but I have never seen it standing room only. There are benches and bleachers for sitting, people can also bring blankets or lawn chairs if they want. The fire pits do get crowded when they are first lit but if you are patient everyone will get a chance(the crowd around the fire thins greatly during the movie). If you want to bring your own smores fixins you can or you can purchase items at the snack bar(chuck wagon). Some campers have been know to bring hot dogs to cook as well and have dinner during the sing along.
Chip and Dale will visit during the sing along(but not during the movie)
Hope that helps, any other qustions just ask, I'll answer as soon as I can.

You might want to try posting this on the camping forum b/c the FW experts may have more info.

I think I did the hayride when I was a little kid but I don't remember much about it. Sorry, hope someone else might have more info. I think you need to get a ticket for it.

We went to the campfire/movie program in 2005 and it was cute. I don't think it is a "must do," unless you are looking for a mellow way to spend an evening. The movie schedule for the month gets posted as a sticky on the camping forum, so you can see what movies are playing which days.
