Hawthorne - Holiday Inn - walking distance?

Staying at the Hawthorne Suites on Canada Ave., but will rent a car from Budget which we pick up at Holiday Inn Universal, Kirkland Road. Does anyone know if we have to cab it to the HI or can we walk there?

Also, has anyone had problems with Budget? We are renting a car for a one day trip, dropping it off at V.Beach for approx. $24.00.

Everywhere is within walking distance..............if you've got the time.

But probably not this one. The Holiday Inn - Universal is on Kirkman (not Kirkland) just north of I-4 and directly across from Universal Studios. The Hawthorne Suites is just off Sand Lake Road but south of I-4. I don't think there are any sidewalks over I-4 along Kirkman which in that area is almost like an expressway itself. One of the branches of the IRideTrolley could get you there but as a practical matter, a taxi would have you there in 10 minutes.

(Make sure you've got the correct Holiday Inn because there's another one not very far from your hotel that is on Universal Blvd.)
