palms golf resort??

I can get these both for the same price...
Wyndham looks nicer, but Hawthorn looks like it has a better breakfast. This would only be one night before we go back home, so there would not be alot of time spent there....

having stayed at the wyndham palms resort & cc & LOVED it, I wouldn't recommend it for only 1 night's stay.

My friend & her husband just stayed at the new Hawthorn Suites on Hospatality way & really liked it (they are very picky). They said they had a full fridge, stove with 2 cook tops& microwave. They enjoyed the breakfast, although her husband did say he was expecting a better breakfast like at a golden corral but he said, what the heck it was free. scrambled eggs & sausage (but no bacon) is what he said he mostly ate. For only 1 nights stay, I'd pick the Hawthorne Suites, I've been seeing some great rates on hotelkingdom.com for the Hawthorne. I also noticed the new(er) comfort suites on major blvd is coming up for only $42ish which also is a suite, but only with mini fridge & microwave

if you liked the Wyndham- why would you not recommend it?

I can't do the comfort suites because I need a separate room to sleep in, and those are only half walls. The Wyndham has a separate bedroom, right?

They are both at 55 for my date on hotelkingdom. I think the Hawthorn suites by seaworld is NOT a new one, right? We are not real picky- just no bugs or mold.

Is either more convenient to the airport?

I'm not sure about convenience to the airport as I live only 2 hours away from Orlando & always drive.

Just as my opinion only, the Wyndham Palms is more of a resort that I would want to spend several days-week at, if I was only going to barely be at the hotel or resort & only 1 night, I wouldnt choose a resort.

With the Hawthorne, you would just walk down to breakfast with a short elevator ride or what ever but with how spread out the Wyndham Palms is, you may have to drive to the clubhouse, look for parking or take the golf cart shuttle for breakfast depending on where your unit is. I have read that the lines for breakfast at the Wyndham Palms is really long, only served poolside (does that mean no tables to eat at??) & only going by the sounds of it, it may only be a continental style breakfast (danishes, fruit, etc) also check out time at the Wyndham Palms is 10am (or you can request later if your are a by request member) breakfast is only served Mon-Fri at the Wyndham Palms (not sure the day of your stay.

The Hawthorne's breakfast at least has eggs, sausage & the other things. Also, if your stay is a Mon-Thurs, the Hawthorne has an evening managers reception with drinks & such (check their website for more details on this). Check the address for the Hawthorne, if its on Hospitality Way, then it is the newer one.
