Hi, everyone. Just came back from DW. We stayed at Hawthorn Suites and it was wonderful. This is the one about a mile from DW on Palm Parkway. The room had a full kitchen, table and four chairs, a queen sofabed, a chair, two 25 inch tvs, a bedroom with two QUEEN size beds and a dressing area. It also had a hot buffet breakfast (not too great but for free it wasn't bad). The staff was friendly and the location was great, quiet and lovely and all for $59 a night. I would go there again in a heartbeat. What a deal! I highly recommend this hotel. The suite sleeps six comfortably. The hotel is three years old and I wish it had been around when we went to DW with the kids.

Is this a resort hotel, or a timeshare unit? I'm in the process of finding a nice resort at a great price for our next trip. Where did you book to get the $59 rate?

This is not a timeshare. We got the rate at Hotel Kingdom. Hope you have a lovely time.

How long did it take you to get to the parks?

It took about five to ten minutes. It was closer to downtown Disney which was about a mile away and the parks were about two miles.

Thanks for the review, we are staying there one night in October before checking in at Cypress Pointe. I used my Hyatt pts for it, and got 2 rooms for the same # of pts I would have used for the Hyatt Orlando which has now closed! Talk about a fortuitous decision!

Thanks for the info on Hawthorne Suites. How was the pool? I have two kids, and they rate hotels by the pools? Thanks!!

I'm sorry. I really cannot tell you about the pool. We never used it. It looked okay but I wouldn't say it was super great.
