I am gold and plan to book the Hawaii to Vancouver cruise for March 2023 on 10/4 when my window opens. What time does the online book really open? I know it says 8am but I am sure it opens earlier. Also if I have a placeholder to use can I book online when my window opens then call to add the placeholder? I don’t want to chance it by having to call.

Online booking could be open as early as 1am or 2am, or later like 5am... as I recall it has varied in the past. If you have a placeholder you will unfortunately need to call. Booking online early is not help with a placeholder because it can't be "applied" to another booking.

You could try calling now to book the placeholder onto any random cruise outside the penalty phase. Then you should be able to change it online to the Hawaii cruise you want. I say "should" because there are odd IT glitches, and I've had times that I could make a date change online and times that it simply didn't give me that button so I had to call. Good luck!

Great idea! Thanks I’m going to try that and see what happens. Worse comes to worse and it doesn’t work then I just cancel the random cruise.

No! If you used the placeholder to book a random cruise, your OBB benefits are attached to that and would be lost if you cancel it. You would need to change the random cruise to the Hawaii date you want. It’s like the old “dummy booking” folks used to do before placeholders.

And I saw on another thread the booking dates have been pushed back a week.

Yes I saw the booking date change. Thanks again for your helpful advice.
