Things we could have done without:
Dole Plantation-- It was pretty much a tourist trap.

Yeah, but it's a tourist trap with Dole Whip!

If you have time you should visit the Iolani Palace. If you want to learn about Hawaiian history it's a great tour. It was one of the best tours we took.

That's true, but you could also get one at Alamona Mall, just a short walk from our hotel!!

We went here, too. I don't know how it slipped my mind when I wrote our the must do list. It was really neat!! We did the audio tour with the little speaker things you carry around. My oldest son is obsessed with kings, so he LOVED the palace! --Katie

Yeah, but not the same. We stopped at the Dole Plantation on our way back from the North Shore for a Dole Whip. The really cool "Dole Whip" pressed penny was a BONUS! We did the train tour on a previous trip. It was cute, but not anything I would want to do again.
