In light of the rumor that MB may be ending soon at WLV, my dh is calling Byron, our guide this morning. Our plan was to buy 200-250 pts in the fall when my little son goes to kindergarten and I go back to work.

I have been getting nervous that it is going to sell out by then and we may never get our chance to own at WLV which is dh and sons' favorite resort.

We would be staying in a studio most often, and our favorite times to go to Disney are NJ teacher's convention week in November and the first week of July.

I love WL but am very interested in BCV next year. I am thinking, maybe we should go in now on WLV and maybe get just 150 points which will give us about 10 days in November, and buy another 100-150 at BCV in early 2003 for a week in the summer. If we buy now we will have an October use year which will be great if we ever have to cancel our Nov. trip. Maybe I can buy at BCV when the use year will be in May or June for those summer trips.

My question is..for those of you that own at two resorts, is it really confusing to keep track of points, banking deadlines and such?

Does this plan make sense to you? With 11 month windows becoming more important, I think it would be great to own enough points for at least a week in a Studio in two different resorts.

I can't help answer your questions about owning at 2 resorts yet. We are thinking of buying at VWL in about 3 weeks. We also own at BWV and I am hoping I will be able to keep points, resorts and use years straight in my head myself. I had not heard any rumors about MB ending soon, can you please explain the rumor to me?

Debbie,

Thanks for your response. The rumor about MB ending was posted on this board a couple of days ago. Someone read on an AOL board that on March 31, they will discontinue offering MB for WLV only. My husband is calling our guide today to see if that is true.

We were planning on using MB to add to our downpayment because we are not planning to go to Disney until Christmas 2002 and really wouldn't miss the points. If the program is ending, we will try to buy in sooner than we originally planned.

There was a report of MB ending from a poster on an AOL board. It is as unsubstantiated as unsubstantiated gets....of course, it may be true, but there has been no other reports of this.

Use year isn't that big of a concern. It is certainly not a deal breaker, or really much of a concern at all. I have owned since '92, use year has never come up.

Dh just called...our guide is not in this morning. I will post again after he speaks with him hopefully this afternoon. I think he would have called us if that rumor was true. He knows what our intentions are, we've spoken with him several times.

We have 2 home resorts and it's never been a problem. You just tell them which resort you want your points deducted from when calling MS for a ressie. Make sure you get the same use year, or it can be confusing. I may be wrong, but I don't think they will sell you different use years when you do an add on as you propose.

The advantage is you have the 11 vs. the 7 month window for ressies in your resort of choice for your favorite time of year.

It's always worked out well for us. Good luck!
