I have never had any trouble with the car websites, and they were working fine for me checking rates. All of a sudden yesterday both Alamo and National are sending messages that the coupons I am trying to use one from Priceless and the other from the Entertainment book are not valid..Is anyone else having this problem, is it a a site problem?? I cleared my temp internet files already and that did not help..Any info is helpful...thanks!!!

The problem is still there today
My 2005 ET book coupon worked fine with National for my 2005 reservation the other day. Since yesterday it no longer works!!

It has to be the website and not the coupon as National gives an error for a coupon code that I am using for an existing reservation.

If anyone calls National and finds out when it will be fixed, please let us know.

Just tried it now-it seems to be working again.

Used FF Contract ID and entertainment coupon -$20 off

Still not working for me, I tired both National and Alamo..let us know please if anyone finds out what is going on...

Alamo is not working, I would suggest you give them a call and see if they can apply the coupons on their system, which is different from the online system.

I just got an email back from National, which I assume covers Alamo too since they are sister companies. They are aware of the problem and are upgrading their system, if anyone needs immedaite assistance to call them..the coupons are good just website is not working correctly right now...hope this helps

I read this post earlier, and had problems all day. Then tonight I read your update and tried again just to see if it worked. It still didn't. Then I tried one more time, and all of the sudden it worked. Saved me $27 over the rate I booked with just the contract ID earlier today.

I've been playing around with it off and on for the last couple of hours. I've finally gotten it to accept the coupon twice.
The national site has a history of being quirky, but this is the worst. Guess we just have to be patient and wait for their upgrade........... or call.

Now I don't feel so shaky - put in an existing confirmation number and it came back - coupon invalid - Then I tried every other possible coupon I could find and still same results. Just hope when I get to MCO the printout I did in July will be accepted.
Really glad I came to this board tonight - now maybe I can sleep.

Call the rental company and confirm the rate, especially if it is Alamo. If it does not jive tell them what you have for a rate and ask that they adjust it to match yours. You should not, however, have a problem with them honoring your rate, the action of calling them and confirming will just save you time when you get there if there is a difference between what you have and what they have.

I just tried to check my national rate for a confirmed reservation, still no luck with the coupons.

National was working just now-but my rate went up $32.
