Having trouble saying goodbye to Frozen FP

My kids have asked to drop the Frozen FP so they can try Test Track for the first time (they rode Frozen last year and loved it). They are 8 and almost 6 and neither is a daredevil. Single rider and RD are not options for our Epcot day due to a conflict in the morning so we will not arrive at the park until around 11-11:30 and I will be the only adult. I fear we will have zero hope for a TT FP after we get through our three FP starting at 11:45.

I know the correct answer is "listen to the kids" but dropping this FP is so hard because I know how much they loved it! They will never wait in a 60+ min line so FP is really the only option... sigh. I fear they will regret it after I change and I won't be able to get it back (such as if my son gets scared once he sees/hears the cars whipping around and wants to change his mind). But... they have seen you tube. I have prepped them. Listen to them - right?

If what you REALLY want is two tier one FPs you could always schedule the two tier 2 FPs for before your arrival so they would expire. Once you tap in at Frozen you could then look for TT. My guess is that before noon you should be able to get one SOME time during the day.

Also a great idea! Thanks! But kids really want spaceship earth and turtle talk too... this would be so much easier if I were not one to overanalyze!

A few things here that I would suggest.

First, no, I would not drop the FEA FP+. If you aren't getting to the park until 11:30am, then the standby line for FEA will be very long.

Your chances of getting TT as a 4th FP+ are pretty high...actually very high. Sometimes it takes a little work, but we've always gotten it as a 4th, 5th, 6th...it's been a very long time since we've done TT standby, it's just necessary.

If you did want to do what others suggested and book 2 "throw away" FP+ before you arrived (I don't think you need to do it, but it's not a bad idea if you wanted to), then don't worry about Turtle Talk and SE. Both are straight walk on attractions for a good part of the day. SE line will spike midday, but be patient, it'll drop back to near zero very quickly.

If you don't mind missing FEA and your kids realize the standby line will be really long if they change their mind then yes I would drop it so they can ride TT.

Alternately- I would drop turtle talk you don't need a FP+ for that (even if you replace it with something else), book your SSE and FEA as early and close together as you can and if there is something else they want (instead of Turtle talk) book that early as well. The minute you tap into your 3rd fast pass start looking for a 4th for TT and refreshing as often as you can. A better plan is to book something for before you arrive and let it expire, then you can start looking for TT after you ride your other 2 FP+.

I would only do #2 if your kids truly understand they "may" be able to ride both but there is a chance they won't gee the FP+ for TT.

There is also the FEA dessert party - (we loved it) that gives you preferred seating for Illuminations and then an after hours ride on FEA. Its pricy but worth it IMHO but may or may not be offered/available on your date.
