Having trouble deciding

(I have an annual pass so I visit about 3 times a year)
I can't decide where I want to stay for my next Disney trip! The first 4 nights I'll be spending with a friend in a value resort and the last 2 nights, I want to try something new. I've stayed at The Polynesian, all Star music, all Star sports, and pop century. I want to try something different but can't decide what! Hoping for a resort with shorter/less chaotic bus lines/maybe less kids since I don't have any kids. Tell me the pros and cons, as well as any amendaties you really liked.

Talk to me about Port Orleans Riverside, French quarter, and Coronado springs. Originally wanted to try AoA but I want something quieter! A bus to any parks or Disney springs is a bonus. I'm open to suggestions for any resort under $350 per night.

I'd go with Riverside-Alligator Bayou-the landscaping is AMAZING.

Hop on the boat to and from Disney Springs-very fun.

I'd also say Port Orleans, but suggest French Quarter as it is much quieter -- my experience was less kids there, and the boat is closer to Disney Spring, plus they have beignets!!!!!! Walk over to POR and take in YeeHaw Bob's show in the RiverRoost lounge -- that is great fun.

I'm a big fan of the Swan & Dolphin. Walk in and out of Epcot for food & drink, walk to DHS, and the ambiance of the Boardwalk at night.

I would suggest CSR if you decide on a moderate resort. It is a convention resort, so it may have fewer children than some other resorts (although, this is Disney, so there will be children everywhere, as I am sure you realize). It also has some areas that are quiet, notably the Ranchos section, which is fine if you don't mind a 10 minute walk to the main building. CSR also has lots of dining options, an awesome pool, huge hot tub, salon, small fitness centre and a good bus system with 4 stops around the resort. If you want closer to the action, the casitas is a good area to request for convenience. We like Casitas 4 which is close, but still just regular rooms.

Another option would be the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is a gorgeous deluxe resort which is a bit distant from the MK and only has bus transportation, so that might be appealing for what you are looking for. The lobby is amazing, the animals are fun to watch and the dining is excellent. The price for standard view rooms here is sometimes not much more than the price for a preferred room at a moderate resort. (with a discount) You get a larger room and a balcony plus all the advantages of staying deluxe. Everything under one roof is a nice feature as well. WE just returned from a split stay at the AKL and GF. It is tough to say which we liked better as there are advantages to both.

My last suggestion would be a stay at the Swan or Dolphin. The location is fabulous and, if you can snag one of their great discounts, you can stay in a great hotel in a prime location for a reasonable amount of money. (Be sure to add about $50 to the rate over day, though, to compensate for the resort fee and parking/transportation to MCO. ) The beds are really comfortable here and the rooms newly refurbished at the Swan and some of the rooms at the Dolphin. These are not owned by Disney, though, so some features such as free magic bands, charging back ti the room and dining plans are not offered.

- All your choices should be well under your budget.
- POR and POFQ have a boat to Disney Springs that is very nice
- POR will be a mix of lots of folks
- POFQ is quiet but will also have lots of kids as popular for young ones, and young splash pad play area
- CSR is the most adult of them, partially due to convention space
- CSR has multiple TS, QS, Lounge/Bars
- POR has good TS and QS and Lounge
- POR has Royal Guest Rooms that are beautifully done and close to all
- With your budget you could do POR Royal River View Room
- POFQ has no TS but Disney Springs isn't far
- CSR is our favorite for transportation but none of those are bad

If it were me, adult, alone I would book CSR or POR Royal Guest room.

And I agree with @Babsy price out AKL Savanna room.
With AP discount it may be very doable. Stunning resort, nothing like it in this country to sit on your balcony and watch the exotic animals.

We stayed at POFQ during our last trip and absolutely loved it. Unlike the other moderate resorts, it only has one bus stop, so you don't have to worry about going around the resort picking people up before heading to the parks. I also loved the New Orleans theme, right down to the walkways and street signs from New Orleans. The area around the pool will have quite a few kids, but I found the resort itself to be quiet because there are far fewer people there. We also loved the boat over to Disney Springs. We spent 4 nights there and the bus was never crowded/never had to stand, etc. and also didn't have to wait long. I also liked that there was a screen at the bus stop that let you know when the next bus would be coming. The dining area was under renovation when we were there, so it was a little different than what other people would probably experience - they did serve beneigts...which were amazingly good. We've also stayed at AKL, POP, and Art of Animation and aside from AKL, which was more of a "once in a lifetime" for us, POFQ is my favorite by far and for the amount of time we spend at the resort vs. in the parks, I wouldn't pay to stay in a deluxe again.

Given your options, I would go for POFQ. My wife and I stayed there before we had kids and loved it. It also gives you the boat to DS. It's small so a bit more quaint. Enjoy!

When we stayed at coronado it was SO QUIET. There was some kind of convention going on so majority of people were there on business.

If you're looking for less chaotic bus lines, I would recommend CSR or POR. Check out the maps and request a room near a bus stop in an outlying building. You'll want to avoid the main bus stops by the lobby/foodcourt.

I agree with POFQ and CSR but if your budget is 350/night or under I would also consider the Wilderness Lodge. Its beautiful, has great food, and tends to not be overloaded with kids.

Coronado has a much more relaxed feel to it and is the least chaotic of any resort I've stayed at.

Depending on when you go you may be able to get a deluxe for less than $350 - I would suggest YC or GF. There are a lot of kids at both but they both don't seem to hectic usually. The pool at YC can be chaotic sometimes and the lobby at GF gets hectic around dinner time.

POFQ is my favorite resort thus far. It is very quaint and quiet, and the small size is an advantage if you want to grab a drink or snack without having to walk 1/2 mile!
