I need to make one more TS ADR. Everyone on this board loves Boma. I'd love to see the AK Lodge but I am a very picky eater. More of a meat and potatoes kind of person. I looked at the Boma menu and I'm not sure I'd like it. It says wood roasted meats but I'm not sure what that means.

Anyway on that note I am debating from the following. If you had to pick one of these which would it be.

Spoodles
Wolfgang Puck's
Other ________

We're on the dining plan. I would have put the CA Grill as a choice but CA Grill is 2 TS credits and with all our other ressies we only have 1 left.

Thanks for the help.

My Dh and I had the best meal at Wolfgang Puck's two weeks ago. We both had delicious filets. They were cooked perfectly and I would love to have one for dinner tonight! :) Our appetizers were yummy too. We had the spinach and five cheese dip which was very good and the Asian style spring rolls. These were good too. Desserts were heavenly :cloud9: . We shared the chocolate fondue and the white choc. cheesecake. We actually took the desserts back to our villa with us and had them the next day and they were delicious!! We were so full from our dinner that we couldn't eat them then. There is a LOT of food on the DDP!! So my vote would be for WPC but I have never been to Spoodles. Hope to try it soon though!

What about trying Boma for breakfast? I thought it had a very good variety when we ate there. I like you, wanted to see the AKL and glad I did :) We enjoyed the breakfast buffett :thumbsup2

Oooh, my vote is definitely for Wolfgang Puck's. The food is delicious there!

I've never tried Wolfgang Puck's but Kona Cafe and Whispering Canyon both have great meat & potatoe meals.

JMO but I would avoid Spoodles. We were there Monday for dinner. The food was horrible and the service was even worse.

We ate there last fall. Hated it. Service, temperature inside the restaurant...not up to my standards. Food....well, very small portions for the large price and not what I would consider very good. However, Boma does have a lot of offerings and I think could satisfy even meat and potatoes types. Several in our group loved it!!

Boma has Prime Rib every night, just in case you don't like the other options. They have chicken strips, soups, salad, all kinds of different potatoes, and all kinds of desserts. Way to many different varieties of food to list here. There is much more to eat than just Exotic Food. I think everyone is a little leery going there for the first time, but I think 99% of the folks end up loving it. I didn't think I would like it, now it is my favorite restaurant. I say stick with Boma, just my opinion.

If you are a meat and potatos type that doesn't like things a bit different then Boma is out for you.
Now they do have some plain things on the kids bar, but why would you burn a TS credit for Mac N cheese and chicken strips?
I think you'll be better off elsewhere.
This is coming from someone that loves and normally gives Boma a very high recommendation.
Spoodles was wonderful when we went. Both the food and service were great. But they don't have all that extensive a menu. Look it over at all ears. If you find something on it you like go ahead. If not go to Wolfgang's. I've never been to Wolfgang's but most of what I hear is good.

There was plenty of meat at Boma. DH and I enjoyed it. But would also suggest Raglan Rd. for meat and potatoes.

I went to Boma with my family few days ago, we also went because we wanted to see AKL.
My opinion is if you want to go and see AKL, what better way to do that than eat in Boma? After 8 days of dining plan and 8 TS, there wasn't much of a difference in what you eat but where you eat. As you may noticed, there are a lot of different opinions for every restaurant, depending on the service and the kind of food you like.
As someone said above, there is roast beef which looked pretty good, there are salads and wonderful desserts (tarts, wonderful bread banana pudding) and the location is awesome. The salmon was the best, but you had to like seafood (my husband really loved the seafood soup).
I would go for it. Wait! I just did :goodvibes
