Having the "we need more points" bug REALLY BAD!

Yeah, now I look really crazy, because she didn't even know what DisBoard was, and I have been reading posts on here for years 😂
Oh mine is well aware because I tell her some things that we talk about and she complains that im always on the phone now , she has no interest in joining 🤣🤣

We were going to start out with 150 direct. Got off the phone with our guide and quickly decided that we need more points and would get a better deal if we bought more. Called her back in about 5 minutes and bought more. 😬

We now have 2775 points with 16 different direct/resale contracts and the same UY. Also planning on getting another contract next year and that "may" be the end.

How many times a year does that many points get you? Asking for a friend.

ooohhhh nice! I think RIV is probably amazing and since it's new and shiny maybe that will ward off the BW addonits for you. I was coming from AKV to BWV, was like night and day difference in room style/newness.
I'm going from a resort view studio at Riv to a 1-BR Boardwalk view at BWV, so I'm stacking the odds in BWV's favor :)

That is so exciting!! Where are you having the wedding?

It's at Epcot hahah. Originally we were going to do it in World Celebration but I really am not a fan of the giant obnoxious pink flowers they have up behind figment for flower and garden so we opted for Japan instead. Reception at California Grill. Fireworks at Poly.

Spending an unholy amount of DVC points in a span of 5 days as we booked a 1BR at RIV for my wife's family for 5 nights, a 2BR at RIV for my family for 5 nights, a 2BR at RIV for us and our wedding party for 2 nights, a grand villa at RIV for the remaining 3 nights, and a bungalow for 1 night just so everyone can hang out and watch the fireworks. A total of over 930 points over the span of 5 nights. But I wouldn't have been able to do it without DVC 😬

I actually think 930 points for this is an absolute bargain.

Yeah thanks to the May point charts which is part of the reason we like going then, we still had plenty to book a week at Aulani in a hotel room for the end of June but of course the wife is dying to go back to Japan again so we're going to go back to Tokyo Disney for 5 nights later in August.

Like with everything in my life though, something always pops up so I had to get my first surgery ever last Friday so I'm recovering currently. It's going to be an interesting few months 😂

I hope you recover quickly. Sounds like a great 2025 for you and your family :)

Have you been to Tokyo Disneyland? It looks like it would be on another level

We actually went last year in September/October for a little over 2 weeks in Japan but spent 5 days in TDR. This time I managed to get into Fantasy Springs.. booking last time was a lot more competitive because FS was brand spanking new. Tokyo Disneyland is probably my favorite 1 park of any of the parks. It was surprising to me because I had always heard that DisneySEA was the best park but Tokyo Disneyland was like Disneyland back home in CA.. with better effects and rides that work well. It's between Frozen and Beauty and the Beast in Tokyo for my favorite Disney ride of all time and I'm sorry but the one in Fantasy Springs puts our Frozen in WDW to shame. Those two rides really show IMO what happens when you combine technology with artistry perfectly to tell a full fledged story which is what Disney is all about. Regardless we can't wait to go back.

Wow, Enjoy! I am not familiar with Tokyo Disney, but I have looked into it a little, and I put that right into my bucket list 😊
