I'm having second thought whether to stay at POR, POFQ (I'm leaning to) or POP. I did this because I was reading TripAdvisor reports and these hotels came in 17, 19, and 12 (respectively) in all of Orlando's hotels.

PLEASE post WHY should I stay at the hotel you voted for and what makes you think I would like it!

Based on our singular experience at at value resort, NOT POP. :earsboy:

Honestly I am not too sure how much I have personally agreed with those ratings. Pop is listed higher than POFQ and POR and that's just silly in my humble opinion. Basically, when concerning the value resorts, if you go that route, I'd go with the All Star Music or Movies. Those blow the POP and it's cheeky decor away by a mile.

Out of the three though, I'd go with either POR or POFQ. They are sister resorts and you can't go wrong with either one.

Thanks, Micca!

DAWGPOUNDAJ, which is better of the value resorts: Music or Movies? Decor? Food court? Etc.? Thanks so much!!!

Oh...and congratulations, DPAJ!! Have fun on your Disneymoon!

Of your choices, we have only stayed at POR and POFQ and it was several years ago. But we loved them both. Beautiful grounds, great pool and tasty food courts. If I had to choose between the two...My vote would be for POFQ!

WDW Lifelong Fan, thanks. I was originally leaning to POFQ.

Besides, we can share everything with POR, because they are sister resorts!!

My friend and I had an amazing experience at POP! We loved our room location (overlooking the lake), had no noise problems in the room, and always were able to eat whenever we wanted. I would go back to POP in a heartbeat!

I would make your decision based on what amenities you want. My friend and I were fine with POP because we spent all day at the parks (Get up at 8am and get home about 11pm). However, if you want more space, you may want to consider a moderate resort.

Regardless of what you choose, have a blast!

Thanks, Lisa. Would a room at POP be big enough to hold 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids)?

We have stayed at all three and I vote POP because.....the price difference isnt worth it in OUR opinion. POFQ has slightly larger rooms and a hot tub...only difference I can see. POR has a sitdown restaurant if thats important to you...with all the places to eat at WDW, it is not important to us....POR and POFQ share buses most of the time which means multiple stops....POP shares with noone.

we just spent the first four days of our trip at pop and were very pleased...exceeded the expectations.....the room was clean and adequate, the food court was good, the gift shop was great, the pools were great....the decor is colorful and fun.....we had no trouble with noise.....we were in the 50s section and it was a 2 minute walk to the lobby. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

the second half of our trip was at WL and that was a whole different level however.....

Thanks for the info, Stiff! I didn't take into account most of that stuff!

Question for anybody: Who gets picked up/dropped off first with the PO's? How many bus stops?

Not POP. We stayed there last June and HATED it. It was noisy, cramped, and the beds were uncomfortable. I've never stayed at your other choices but we will not return to a value.

The rooms do hold four people. I think they are Queen sized beds. (Although I'm not exactly sure!)

I only went with one other friend and we had plenty of room. It might be a little tight, but it depends on how much luggage you have, etc.

Also, as I mentioned, my friend I literally only stayed there to sleep. Since you have kids, you may (or may not! :) ) be spending more time there.

Check out this link and look for the pictures of the room. Hopefully, you can get a better judge of the size.

I liked both POP and POR. We stayed at POP last year and it was nice. We were going for 9 nights so we had to choose a value over the moderate.

I also loved Riverside. Its my (so far) second favorite value resort behind Coronado. (Haven't stayed at FQ - yet).

Maybe I am just easy to please but I was happy with the resorts.

Lisa-Figuring we'll each have a carry-on and a regular suitcase. 8 bags, 4 people. Will we all fit?

Stiff-thanks!

cobbler-thanks!

What do the mods have that values don't? (Ie, couch, etc.) Thanks!

I don't know if my vote should count or not, not having staying at any of them, but I think the POFQ looks like it would be nice. The theming is appealing to me.

BigOnDis, your vote counts. (My mom chose POFQ for that reason!) Thanks!
