Hi all! This is my very first trip to Disney. I have been religiously reading almost every thread, every day for a month now and thanks to all you experienced DISers I am having 2nd thoughts on my Planet Hollywood ressies!
My fam. and I looked at the menu and where we are a Chili's kind of family we felt comfortable with the menu and of course the chance to see all the memorbilia, but I don't see any reference or excitement regarding this particular restaurant. I had mentioned my ressies on another board and maybe two or three people answered positively but I though I would see atleast one comment on here about PH! Can you more experienced DISers give me your honest opinion? Thanks

I have only dined there once. It was ok. Nothing special. For us, there are just too many places that are not a chain to try while we are at Disney, KWIM?

You don't need anymore reasons, go and enjoy your visit and your meal. Every restaurant will have fans, anti fans and those with little to no opinion. The menu and atmosphere appeal to your family, go and simply enjoy.

I think alot of people go to Disney and want a DISNEY meal...one that you can only get at there. PH's although they have closed several over the past few years are around the world. We have ate there several times and also at Rainforest Cafe...they dont get high reviews but over all it is a fun meal, in a fun place and pleases EVERYONE in my family...and for what it is worth, I LOVE CHILI's!

My kids are grown now, but when we first started going to WDW Planet Hollywood was a "must do" each time. DD & DS loved the memorabilia (so did I :cool1: !) and we found the food to be very good. DD adored the Captain Crunch chicken appetizer, DS the burgers, and DH & I always found something we enjoyed as well.

Go for it!:dance3:

I say go for it. :) You said yourself that your family thought it looked cool, so go with what your family says. Everyone is different and you might like places others don't and vice versa.

People comment all the time about places like Rainforest Cafe and PH not being Disney, or that they go to such and such a place all the time so they don't go when they're at Disney. Well to you, places like RC and PH might not be available to you so this is a once in a lifetime (or once in a very great while ) opportunity.

Hope that makes sense! :)

I think that everyone should go to a Planet Hollywood once in their life. But for us, it's been at least 13 years since we last were in the DTD location. Daughter loved the Capt. Crunch Chicken and the movie memorabilia was "cool" then, but not sure if they've updated anything.

So if you want to go -- go. But if you can't make it, don't stress over it. :)

We really enjoy PH. It has one of the largest selection of dishes at any restaurant on Disney property - The LA Lasagna is really good as is their steaks, ribs, pastas, actually I can't think of anything I've had there that I'd label as "not good".

It's a fun atmosphere - we also prefer it in the afternoon (as opposed to dinner) because they show more movie clips and the like versus at dinner they have a DJ and it's non stop music videos (and since I don't keep up with popular music I only recognize maybe 1 out of 3 songs).

They also have lots of fun cocktails (expensive but good and strong).

If you haven't been to one, go for it! We have gone several times when we fly home and the girls just love it!

It's a must do on our list. We all love it. Have never had bad service. And the kids love looking at all the stuff. :)

Thank You everyone :lovestruc I don't know why I was stressing...you are right this is about what the family wants...if we like it great, if not oh well atleast we tried it! Thanks for bringing me back to my senses...I just want this to be......AWSOME!!!!!:cool1:
PH it is and my ressie is done!
