Having guests overnight

My son and DDIL will be joining us, but we do not know which day. I will let the front desk know when they arrive, and will offer to pay. DS had planned to arrive early, and leave the same day, because he also will not "break rules" or feel as though he needs to sneak around. I really want to let them know because we are staying CL, and want to be able to have all of us enjoy the lounge, etc. I do not have an opinion how others handle it.

Youd have to be a fool to add her to the room. Disney will not know (or care) if she stays with you. To pony up the extra fee is tantamount to throwing money into the wind...it cost the company no more or less if there are three or two people in a room..Dont let the morality police get to you. I once was on a trip where we met some girls and they spent ther night....7 people in one room at the ASSports and no one knew or cared
I wonder if the DVC member who rented their points to you cares? They will be responsible for any damage left by you. You are the poster boy of not renting out your points. You don't think rules pertain to you!

We wondered about this on our last visit, we were at SOG and my brothers family were at ASMovie. We had our two grandaughters with us and my brothers children, who are the same ages, asked for my grandaughters to spend the night at their hotel with them. It would have really, size-wise, worked out better for them to stay with us in the large SOG rooms, but we said no all around, thinking it might be a no-no :(....

One February, when my DD and I were staying at POR, my mom and dad came to stay for 2 nights. I let the front desk know the day before so that my folks could just check in whenever they got there, get their room keys and parking pass, and we'd meet up with them later. I asked if I could just put the extra adult fee on my room charge and the CM said, "Happy Valentine's Day, Mrs. XXXX. No charge today!" I would have been fine paying the fee, but it was a nice Disney pixie dust thing.

Look this was eight years ago when I was twenty three and things were a little tad more exciting in my life. But seriously if you do not disturb anyone what is the big diff...is disney paing mother nature an air consumption fee that they need to pass on to you. Rules of society are made to be questioned...some are for the better good of the world...others are for the better good of a giant corporations bottom line. I am intelligent enough to know what rules can be bent........Oh by the way I also LOVE TO POOL HOP and have even weasled my into Stormalong Bay. I dont know what to do on my next trip because i will be allowed to pool hop :confused3 ???????? maybe ill sneak onto a Golf Course or Keep my 3d glasses from Mickeys Philharmagic!!!!!!! Rest assured ill be thinking of you as i do so!

Actually as a DVC member the occupany levels protect my investment. More people in a unit than it was designed to accommidate creates more wear and tear, which as a member I pay for not Disney, so yes it does disturb me. Also there is no way extra people can be as quiet as the occupany levels for that unit, it is impossible.

As to your pool hopping, maybe someday when you grow up, you will see that your status in life is not about what you can get away with and then brag about. At 23 we might have contributed this lack of respect to youthfulness not sure what your excuse is now. Peter Pan syndrome possibly.

I think this thread has come to an end. It wasn't supposed to be a discussion on whether or not it is ok to break the rules. This board is about resort planning.
