I'm having DVC/Disney withdrawal. Last trip was in December 2005 and our next trip is not until May 2006.

Missing Disney right now, wish I could make the time go faster!!!!

I'm right there with ya, sister!

Just back one week ago from a long weekend at the Beach Club. Have to wait 'til middle of July for our trip to Vero Beach.

At least it's scheduled, and I have something to daydream about :goodvibes

Here's to many good thoughts about our upcoming trips!

you have your trip planned for May and you are pricing plane tix for your October trip...because your AP runs out in Nov....and your husband doesn't think you're too crazy! :rotfl2:

BLAH!! :snooty: My last trip was in May 05, and my next won't be until Dec 06.

Considering we made 4 trips between May 04- May 05, this is really killing me. I just got the dates nailed down and ressie made for our Dec trip a couple weeks ago ... going that long w/o something even in the works was almost enough to give me the shakes. I'm just so glad to have this board w/ the other Disneyaholics, great trip reports, and pictures to keep me going or I'd have to consider renting out my SO just to finance another trip. :disrocks:

hhmmm  ... now that I think about it.. that might not be a bad idea anyway :scratchin ...

Now if I could just figure a way to go once a month--that would be heaven.

We were there MLKjr weekend, and our next trip is over Mother's Day. DH asked if I would be feeling down since it's a long stretch. I told him I'd be OK, but I lied :teeth:

We are going on a great cruise for my spring break in March. Our flight home from Detroit was cancelled and so we HAVE to spend a day after the cruise in Puerto Rico. DH got us a free night at a Marriott on the beach. We work to take vacations!

How do you guys normally get there? Fly or drive? I notice that many of you live quite a distance. Being nosey and just little jealous. ::yes::

:wave2: Stephanie,

I'm a bit jealous of the people who take week + trips! We never seem to get away for that long. We do long weekends mostly, some nights at Pop. Our family wouldn't travel from Boston for anything less than 5 nights, so that's the length of our August trip.

We are empty nesters and have been lucky to get bumped from our planes enough so that 4 of our 6 Disney trips this year are fare-free!

Bobbi :wave2:

I am right there with you. If I could find a way to go once a month life would be perfect. I can only seem to find one long weekend trip a year.

The ex is giving me hard time these days and I need my refuge.

We live for vacation time. With the kids being teenagers I hardly get to see them at home, atleas on vacation I know I get them all to myself (sounds like a selfish thing to say). We usually go to Florida for two weeks every summer and go somewhere else for a week in March or April. I need those three weeks to reconnect. This summer my kids wanted to go to a beach at the Jersey shore, I discussed it with my husband and he said whatever I wanted to do is fine. Then I thought about it and thought how much I would miss our Disney trip. I also realized that they know so many people that go to the Jersey shore that they would most likely know someone there at the time we would go. That was my answer. So we are going to New Orleans for a week in July then onto The beach club. I booked a one bedroom at the Beach Club but need to see if I can switch to two studios so we don't have to drag the air mattress (I have a boy and a girl). I hope they have two available and I don't know if I can do this switch without penalty. Wish me luck!
Have a good day everyone

Forever a Princess,

We went back in Dec. '04 and aren't going until May/June '06! I had my daughters and their friend (who is going with us in May) in the car this past weekend. Out of the blue, their friend says, "I'm ready to go back to Disney!" I said, "Me too! I wish we could go right now!" She said, "Let's just do it! Just keep driving and go to Disney World today!!" Man, it sure was tempting!!! :car:

This is a great thread. I'm glad to hear from people like me. It's all about getting back to WDW. Sometimes it seems like we're just substaining life until we get back. I work very hard these days, and I spend aleast a couple minutes at lunch reading threads to get alittle Disney fix to get me through the afternoon. We were there in Dec 05, but no actual ressies for the next trip. We like to go 2 or 3 times a year but it's getting harder with a DS4 and DS9. We have so many other obligations, like work. I need to hit the lotto.

:grouphug: Put me in that group as well.We did DL in June05 ,a short trip 3 days to WDW in Oct05 .Bought into DVC right before Oct trip and now are waiting until JUne 06 .

I did just book a 5 day DEC trip as well but 5month then 6 months don't know if I can wait that long. :sad2:

Work is sending me for training to either LA or Indy. So I asked for LA in the FEB/MAR. time frame so I might get a quick trip in to DL. :woohoo:

Got it bad...but, it feels so good!:thumbsup2

Just glad we live far enough away that airfare is a consideration...otherwise, I'd be working to feed the Mouse.

We've got to wait until June...are we there yet?

I feel the same way. Returned home from our Nov 05 trip and just wanted to get back..Our next trip is in May and I have booked the Nov 06 trip already. Tried so hard to talk DH into going for a long weekend last week, didn't work...I even found $49 tickets each way out of LGA..how can anyone turn that down. He didn't want the kids to miss anymore school this year. I live through friends who are going and help them plan their trips for now..

We live outside DC so we can fly from either of 2 airports (National or Dulles). I belong to all of the major airlines e:mail lists plus have an alert set on Travelocity. I will really miss Independence Air...cost and comfort. So now I check for fairs daily for times when we want to go...Working on Oct/Nov right now. :stir:

I am with you too. We were just there in Dec 05 and are going on the Disney Cruise for spring break in March. We don't make our first trip "home" until July!!!! I hope I don't burst before then. :sunny:

We took two trips last year, BWV in July, and Disneyland Hotel in October.
With two way out of state weddings this year, our next DVC trip is planned for March2007 !! SO, in addition to daydreaming about the next trip.
A lady I work with is taking her two kids in March, they've never been and she hasn't been back since high school (mid 80s) I'm going to vacation vicariously through her :thumbsup2 . Now if I can just get her to make some hotel ressies, dining ressies..........

Peace,
G4L

:grouphug: We are in the same boat as a few others! Went in Aug. 05, bought DVC in Oct. 05, and going back in 07. I can't stand it! I don't think I can wait that long!
We changed our plans and decided to go to DL with my brother and his family. We went to DL Dec. 05, because we new we were going back there in the summer with the rest of my family (DB's and their families & DM)
Well, DB#1 and DM are flaking out! We now have AP's for DL, so we,re kind of obligated to go back there! I'm so mad! :furious: Now, I have to live vicariously through everyone else on the Dis! :surfweb:
I know! I know! :charac2: I've learned my lesson! I'm not changing our vacation plans anymore, for anyone! :sad2:
